@@shimazutakuma1031 It's still probably going to be a slog for both sides though in that area. There's more targets for the AFU to hit now in Donbas. This war effectively made Russia conventionally insignificant against NATO in terms of NATO armies which are more overall better trained and better equiped with better logistics than Ukraine. But I don't think Russia has much left in her to take any more of Ukraine pass what they have already taken in the Donbas. After all, with interest rates rising in Russia, inflation is only going to get higher as the war keeps going and literally the Russian economy is relying on the war to keep production up and there's already discussions among economists that Russia is now facing manpower shortages in industry. Plus, they already had a negative emigration rate prior to the war in Ukraine, there is no way they can go much further than they already had in the country without risking revolt.

They were getting completely annihilated prior to that. Napoleon was also 200 years ago and failed primarily because of scorched earth policies enacted by Russia to starve Napoleon's army. That's not really relevant any more.
One of the major reasons Ukraine hasn't withdrawn from Kursk to reinforce the Donbas, is because the brigades in Kursk aren't made for defense, but for mobile offense, it would make little difference in the Donbas
Are you dumb? The Ukraine war has shown that no brigade is a "offense" or "defensive" unit. An armoured unit would be always effective as it would give a far greater soft attack to light or mobile infantry. Heck it would be more useful to have mobile units as it would help to quickly reinforce if a breakthrough happens. The only reason why Russia is steamrolling so much is because Ukraine can't patch up it defences in time as it requires quick armoured and support units.
Even when Russia denies it, they had to redirect a lot of resources to Kursk and it's weakening them in Donbass. It especially hurts Russia because flexibility isn't one of their strengths.

I'm just going to wait for a month. This is not the first time Ukraine's effort got stalled, everyone said “Ukraine is done for” then nothing happened because Russia's counter also got stalled.
According to your analysis the military equipment loses of Russia is significantly larger than Ukraine so far, but still Ukraine lost a substantial amount of its territory to Russia. That's quite absurd, don't you think.
I mean to be fair their numbers are coming from another party that is only looking at visually confirmed losses via photos and videos. And to also be fair, a good amount of that territory was already in Russian hands in 2014 and then the quick invasion post 2022 didn't have Ukrainians have most of their equipment there at least from their NATO and other ally suppliers well into the war. It's guaranteed in almost any conflict that the defender will probably lose far less than the attacker unless the attacker had that much more people and that much better equipment. After all, it's not uncommon for invaders in prolonged, slow conflict to lose double to triple the defending force. It's a grind. That's why as an invader, you have to keep the will to fight pretty high.
Not really. Russia has the stocks to replenish its losses, and Ukraine doesn't. A tank lost by Russia is not the same as a tank lost by Ukraine. Plus, Russia has more striking capabilities with long-range missiles and air power. The Germans in ww2 from 1943 onward inflicted extreme casualties to the Soviets, yet were still losing ground daily.
Ukraine is also on the defensive, which is a huge advantage. 1 to 3 losses for the aggressor is considered normal, except you can tell Russia has a clear advantage in aerial combat.
@@savvas_1367 What we do know is that according to NYT: "The military said that it had opened an investigation into the crash, which was reported Thursday by The Wall Street Journal. A Western official said the Ukrainians were looking at pilot error or mechanical failure as the cause for the crash, rather than enemy fire."
No they aren’t this is called a war of movement. Ukraine wants to trade territory rather than static battle lines because they are better suited at that type of warfare. They would much rather counter attack and force a response than to send people into a meat grinder. If Russia doesn’t retake Kursk then their supply lines will be seriously hampered and in the long run will be forced to retreat
The 'lost vehicles' statistic (with the icon of a truck) is a bit confusing to me. Does this also include lost IFV's and APC's? If that is the case it would have been far better to include a 'armored vehicles' category, as a lost truck doesn't nearly carry the same weight as a lost BMP or CV-90
I'm very surprised at the issues with training. I have no military experience, but I was under the impression that it required three months of basic and another two of occupational training to bring light infantry to NATO standards. What's stopping NATO from training up a hundred thousand each month?
No capability for that anywhere. All NATO countries used all their surplus training slots for Ukraine troops. It would take NATO years to expand that capability if that is decided right now. Or for NATO to stop training their recruits and focus exclusive on Ukraine.

Important Point to Know: Even if US allow Ukraine to use long range missile deep inside Russia, it will make little to no difference as Russia already prepared for internal strike from Ukraine secondly, even if US provide advance missiles this will not change the course of war because the morale is very low for the Ukrainian people and they have shortage of manpower. The West already knows that that is why they are hesitate to give all the resources they need to fight against Russia because no one wants to spend money on the lost cause.

About Russias potential invasion of Sumy, that seems like some dumb stuff. I live in Kursk and you would have definetly seen some army vehicles. I however have only started seeing any kind of army vehicles after the invasion of Kursk.
The reading of the pokrovsk situation is way too negative in all media. This is the main offensive axis of russia. It is expected that they would gain some ground. It is strange to expect Ukraine, the underdog, to completely halt the russian advance in every sector completely. At this rate, when they eventually reach Pokrovsk, it is going to take them 6-8 months more to take it judging by their pace in Bakhmut. Even if Russians can keep this pace of offensive operations it would take them like 2 years to take all Donbas, paid by tens of thousands of casualties, billions of cost to effectively capture what has become rubble. And then the war would still not be over by any means. It would just have a new frontline.
To be fair, the defenses around places like Bahkmut and Avvdivka were there shoring up for a decade since 2014. The issue with Povkrosk is that while they are building defenses are the city, it isn't going to be AS good as they had it in Bahkmut and Avvdivka. Though it will definitely still be a slog for the Russians as I imagine the Ukrainians will dig in and try to hold them off as long as they can and also bring other reserves on board, and the longer they hold, more brigades will probably be manned up in the coming months to help aid that front. They'll still probably lose Povkrosk ultimately, but the Russians will probably pay a huge price for it.
I'd argue it isn't. We're at a stage where this war is a stalemate which in turn means defeat for Ukraine and NATO while victory for Russia. It's this paradox where anything else than a massive gain by ukraine is basically a failure cuz rmb, 20% of ukraine is still in Russia's hands while all ukraine has managed to do is control 0.007% of the biggest country in the world. Rmb, Russia is not the sane guy here. For it, gaining a town after 10 months and 100,000 deaths is considered the greatest victory in the history. I'll quote lazerpig here that Putin and by proxy his minions all think they're going against the entirety of NATO, which is why in their mind, all this carnage is justified. and such a delusional enemy is very very bad.
>The reading of the pokrovsk situation is way too negative in all media. Absolutely. Including, sadly, this assessment here (see my reply). It's one of the most well-documented wars in history. in this day and age where the majority of civilians and soldiers have modern phones and other communication devices, getting information on each small engagement is easy. I should warn you however that every person filming is biased and often will show only part of it, or fake what they do not like, to get views. It's also highly likely to include dead or wounded, so most news outlets in the world can't show the source directly, instead summarizing the outcome. So use your best judgement and look up direct sources yourself if possible.
At least on the tank front it would seem Ukraine is kicking the hiney out of Russia, and Russia is forced to use older tanks from storage. While true at least according to Wikipedia (yes I am pulling from some real credible sources) Russia had 8,000 T-72s and the current losses would account for only a quarter to a third of Russia's total tanks. So Russia does have to pull moth ball tanks from the 70s. The only problem is that Ukraine's tanks were mostly also T-72s and even older T-64s. Even with the much less losses Ukraine has still reduced their tanks to about half. This really is the conflict in a nutshell, while Ukraine is doing really well with what they have, Russia is beating them with sheer force of numbers.Thereby Ukraine is truly dependent on aid from other countries as without it. The war would have already been lost.
@@meesamkhan4767 I haven't said it. 🤷 Russia will be there for a long time similar to how america stay in syria now. Both are staying for the same purpose.

considering Russia is fully concentrated on Ukraine, I'm kinda surprised that Georgia hasn't even considered trying to retake some of the territory Russia annexed, as I'm pretty sure Russia would have removed some if not all of their peace keeping forces from that region
It's still probably not enough for them the move. After all, Ukraine while only getting a small fraction of NATO equipment, is still being supplied by them ultimately. I do not think Georgia is in the same graces as Ukraine or Israel when it comes to foreign aid. At least both Ukraine and Israel were fairly big allies of the west already and had western style trained armies. Georgia while always on the radar as a possible ally to the west against Russia isn't a big enough country to do so. And propping them up by the west would probably be seen a for sure higher escalation and probably would give their neighbors a little more justification at the possibility of taking Georgia territory at the behest of the Russians and Iranians that are nearby.
Because last time they fought the Russians they were routed. Despite NATO training their military was badly beaten. Only the Georgian special forces did not rout.
lol not all of Russia's army are in Ukraine. Also, Georgia is not like Ukraine who can utilize it's long territories to its advantage to drag out the war. Georgia is relatively a small nation and if it dares to take Russian territory, Russia will most likely temporarily hold positions in Ukraine and take Georgia down relatively quickly with it's more experienced troops. Georgia can have it's dreams if NATO actually ended up in Ukraine against Russia but for now, they're in a nightmare.
The pokrovsk front has been relatively stable for about a week now. They havent made any ground towards Pokrovsk in the last week and very small gains are being made south.

Maybe instead of attacking in the Kursk area those forces could have been used to strengthen the defense in the pokrotsk sector, although a boost in morole and a posible card in the negotiating table, you must also be able to hold that area in the long term which seems questionable if Ukraine can indeed hold that area for months or even years or how long it will take for peace to finally come considering there inability to stop Russia in their own better defensible front in Donbass
The troops in Kursk are offensive troops, they are better served in the offensive. The plan was good, but Russia managed to stabilize the front without compromising the offensive in Donbas

Ukraine is now a lesson on not relying on NATO guarantees, if 30yrs ago you told anyone that USA ran out of weapons for its own proxy war they would laugh at you. Russia called the bluff and the collective west has been exposed as a hollow shell. Yes they're giving the Ukrainian s billions and billions worth of equipment but is it possible that the MIC is just selling overpriced junk? Reality has to be taken into consideration when planning a high intensity symmetric war along a 1500km line of contact, sadly the Ukraine knew this from the beginning when after a few weeks they went ahead with negotiations but after boris Johnson and his friends promised unlimited support to the end they bought their own propaganda and were seeing it unravel.
@@evananthony1395 To be fair Russia only succeeded during WW2 as a direct result of USA sending them the equivalent of $180 billion in today's money in equipment.

Telegram groups, and live maps like suriyak maps i guess
So use your best judgement and look up direct sources yourself if possible.
please can we get a video on the second part of the Sikh empire!
it currently got stopped so this is bs
Champ ❤
I mean this is based on the second half August information, this isn't based on the last week which is September
Number of loses in Russia side is nothing why? EU country depending in cheap oil of Russia ahahaha
Posting same story for the last 3 years 🤷
@@nikhilannur and you guys keep saying russia is about to win and take ukraine any day now for 3 years
@@meesamkhan4767 I haven't said it. 🤷 Russia will be there for a long time similar to how america stay in syria now. Both are staying for the same purpose.
Wow, how would they train the recruits if somehow the full mobilization managed to pull through?
Ukrainr simply don't have that capability.
And the full mobilization is a big IF.
It is pretty clear that the Ukrainians lost most of the support for the war already.
considering Russia is fully concentrated on Ukraine, I'm kinda surprised that Georgia hasn't even considered trying to retake some of the territory Russia annexed, as I'm pretty sure Russia would have removed some if not all of their peace keeping forces from that region
@@CimmerianAssassin I guess
Because last time they fought the Russians they were routed. Despite NATO training their military was badly beaten. Only the Georgian special forces did not rout.
@@poorman2457 yeah, but now the Russians are completely preoccupied in Ukraine and don’t really have the forces to fight them off
lol not all of Russia's army are in Ukraine.
Battle of Bulge 2024 version
The pokrovsk front has been relatively stable for about a week now. They havent made any ground towards Pokrovsk in the last week and very small gains are being made south.
Correction for 4 days. Most of Russian forces are concentrated on South towards ukransk aimed towards cutting off the southern saliant with risk of encirclement. Yesterday deepstatemap reported a withdrawal from this sector.
@@danishkfdRussia is being conscious 😊
They do this pause everytime before attacking a bigger city.
Great video! Love all the effort you guys put in the videos!
Thanks!
Can you please make a video on the history of lakshadweep islands
Lukaschenko: a mini-me Il Duce!😂😂😂😂
I’m in Moscow waiting for Putin and he doesn’t even know what’s going to happen.
You guys are great, and the videos are amazing.
@@JJMB27 offensive troops? Mate this isn't dungeons and dragons military personnel can work on offensive and defensive situations, more importantly if your troops aren't capable of defending then they should definitely NOT be attacking the only exception to this rule is tank formations which aren't very compatible with defence however Ukraine's offensive in Kursk wasn't comprised entirely by tank divisions so my point still stands
@@Raj-yy7xx Good point, however, I think this needs to be viewed in the lense that Russia constitutionally is supposed to guard, and uphold every inch of their territorial integrity. A potato field is just as important in the grand scheme of things. How will Putin explain to his people that it is okay that a certain amount of Russia proper is under the control of a foreign country?
@@Dourios_96 You have no clue what you're talking about. Assault brigades are good for assaults, believe that or not. Strengthening the defense of the Pokrovsk would've led to no benefit at all - it could only delay the destruction of Pokrovsk for some time, so what's the purpose? There'll be no "negotiating table" with Russia, wake up from these silly fantasies already... 😵💫
@@kristianhorslund4941he doesn't have to. He already stated the west arming ukraine is a threat to Russia and to give him all power, which is basically happening, Russia got a boost of recruits and then conscripts were poured into kursk
