You are right in what you're saying Richard as regards planning etc for these 5g masts...it seems to me that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in the UK at the moment. Additionally i emailed the Health and Executive about responsibilty for health matters and replied it was not their duties/responsibilty to decide. However i am wroting again to them regarding if insurance is required and my local council have insurance.

This interview is boring. In Leeds, the telecommunications companies haven't been applying for Planning Permission in their own right for many months now. It is their contractors who install the masts, cabinets etc who are making the applications instead. It hasn't stopped us from finding out where the next attack on a local community is planned. Sorry to say this but Mr Jarvis is wrong. You can buy the name of a company that is no longer trading. I know for a fact that a building contractor I worked with bought the name of a contractor who hadn't traded for a two or more decades as he wanted to diversify into a different market sector and believed the name had gravitas in that market. This was back in the 1990s. The way to stop masts is to copy the application number, write and print off a hundred (or more) flyers with links for more information and letter box them in the area where a planning permission has been applied for. Return a week or so later with a hard petition that people can sign. This is particularly useful for people, such as elderly and others with no internet. Columns on the petition are name, address, objection, signature. Two specific objections for each signature are what Leeds City Council want. Visual impact is something councilors take particular note of. We have helped stop twelve 20 metre tall masts to date over the past year or so. I know of other groups around the country who have helped stop many more than that. 5G is military microwave technology and has no place in an urban environment. The masts themselves are connected to fibre cabling and you can't get faster than the speed of light!
Anybody who really understands the science will not be concerned about 5G masts in the slightest. There does not need to be "a battle" over them, because the premise of them being dangerous (such as microwaving people, causing people cancer and so on) is baseless and even nigh on impossible at the power levels being used. In fact, 5G masts are safer than previous technology masts. Planning permission issues and legacy company names through buyouts and rebranding are nothing much more than a sidetracking matter to try and pad out an issue and make it sound more totalitarian, secretive, nefarious and oppressive - and that it is all being done to evade responsibility for what people are wrongly claiming to be crimes against humanity. People may not want an eyesore in their immediate view and may well object to planning permission being granted on such concerns, but other than that, they don't really have a legitimate leg to stand on. If a mast is not installed correctly and damages property, or otherwise needs to be claimed against in these ways, I agree there needs to be a definable owner of the mast, and I would agree that there should be more monitoring of trading names and banding names vs actual company ownership names to make such claims clearer. The Andrew Bridgen comparison is ironically quite remarkable, because he was also talking utter nonsense and scientific ignorance to try and prop up a conspiratorial belief about the "medical interventions". He was dismissed for good reason. I can't comment on solar farms, but on the face of it I actually agree that they are not as environmentally green as people would like to claim, that they could develop into eyesores and not be viable for efficient energy transmission in the long term, much like EV's are not as squeaky clean as people make out. I'd like to hear evidence to the contrary. I also agree that giant projects should not be steamrollered over councils and residents and that appeals processes should work both ways.

I don't know what country you are in, but in the UK, most new phones have 5G. You would have to seek out an older model to find a non 5G one.

I’ve been saying for a few years now that their is a back door plan for unrequired new build housing via ex solar farms in the near future.
Once ‘change of use’ has been granted, too a PV power station that’s the slippery slope.
My late folks have 18 PV panels installed in 2008/09 and had solar water heating and that was instantly noticeable on the electricity bill.
Solar farms are a rouse for more housing and the utter devastation of rural areas.
I was a member of CPRE until Charles was made their figure head.

Because it was part of the continued rollout of 5G which had commenced well over a year before that.

This interview is boring. In Leeds, the telecommunications companies haven't been applying for Planning Permission in their own right for many months now. It is their contractors who install the masts, cabinets etc who are making the applications instead. It hasn't stopped us from finding out where the next attack on a local community is planned. Sorry to say this but Mr Jarvis is wrong. You can buy the name of a company that is no longer trading. I know for a fact that a building contractor I worked with bought the name of a contractor who hadn't traded for a two or more decades as he wanted to diversify into a different market sector and believed the name had gravitas in that market. This was back in the 1990s. The way to stop masts is to copy the application number, write and print off a hundred (or more) flyers with links for more information and letter box them in the area where a planning permission has been applied for. Return a week or so later with a hard petition that people can sign. This is particularly useful for people, such as elderly and others with no internet. Columns on the petition are name, address, objection, signature. Two specific objections for each signature are what Leeds City Council want. Visual impact is something councilors take particular note of. We have helped stop twelve 20 metre tall masts to date over the past year or so. I know of other groups around the country who have helped stop many more than that. 5G is military microwave technology and has no place in an urban environment. The masts themselves are connected to fibre cabling and you can't get faster than the speed of light!
Can somebody explain why we need 5g in the first place and what the problem is with 4g?
5G offers faster download and uploads, lower latency (ping), and more capacity for users within the frequencies.
Anybody who really understands the science will not be concerned about 5G masts in the slightest. There does not need to be "a battle" over them, because the premise of them being dangerous (such as microwaving people, causing people cancer and so on) is baseless and even nigh on impossible at the power levels being used. In fact, 5G masts are safer than previous technology masts.
Planning permission issues and legacy company names through buyouts and rebranding are nothing much more than a sidetracking matter to try and pad out an issue and make it sound more totalitarian, secretive, nefarious and oppressive - and that it is all being done to evade responsibility for what people are wrongly claiming to be crimes against humanity.
People may not want an eyesore in their immediate view and may well object to planning permission being granted on such concerns, but other than that, they don't really have a legitimate leg to stand on.
If a mast is not installed correctly and damages property, or otherwise needs to be claimed against in these ways, I agree there needs to be a definable owner of the mast, and I would agree that there should be more monitoring of trading names and banding names vs actual company ownership names to make such claims clearer.
The Andrew Bridgen comparison is ironically quite remarkable, because he was also talking utter nonsense and scientific ignorance to try and prop up a conspiratorial belief about the "medical interventions". He was dismissed for good reason.
I can't comment on solar farms, but on the face of it I actually agree that they are not as environmentally green as people would like to claim, that they could develop into eyesores and not be viable for efficient energy transmission in the long term, much like EV's are not as squeaky clean as people make out. I'd like to hear evidence to the contrary.
I also agree that giant projects should not be steamrollered over councils and residents and that appeals processes should work both ways.
And you really understand the science? How would you know the possible long term effects and the effects it has on people susceptible to these frequencies? It's absolutely ridiculous to make such baseless claims when these things haven't been around for long enough to know any effects. History is littered with products where people like you deemed them safe. Looking at your comment history, it's obvious that you have an axe to grind whatever the subject so you're clearly going to disagree whatever the subject.

@@paul756uk2 I understand that the technology is non-ionising, that less power is needed to work 5g, that fewer signals are being emitted from them as they are more efficient, that the technology is operating at around 1/10th of the most conservatively agreed safety rates that are already margined with a factor of error, and many other facts which make claims against 5g total nonsense.
I therefore know that you're in more danger standing out in the summer sun than a having a whole swathe of 5g masts present in your area, that it is literally impossible for 5g waves to harm human cells, thereby it being impossible for them to be "microwaving people" or filling them with "deadly radiation".
Knowing these simple things about how science works means knowing the fear-mongering is baseless, just like Andrew Bridgen's claims were baseless and wrong headed.
I do have an axe to grind against this channel and its content - and I am going to continue to grind it as I see fit.
And, for your information, I actually agreed with the part about solar farms, about unclear company names - and I agreed in general with Richard's opinion piece about a growing disconnect between the public and the police the other day.

Every roof of every building that wants to use electricity should have solar panels or some other way of providing their power, it’s madness putting solar on good farm land

They have much faster download speeds around 10 times the speed of 4G and 30 times the speed of 3G. It's easy to prove by just running a speed test or downloading a large file.
