One of the most underrated kit in the IBO storyline get a refreshed look this time. Going for the a more industrial color scheme this time to set it apart from the norm. this video really made my day. i dont want to go into a whole sob story about how gunpla helps me deal with my mental health, but the grimgerde was my first ever hg. it really makes me happy to see this kit get so much love and see how everyone develops as a builder. even when you started, you were good, but you managed to be even better. thanks man for being an inspiration to gunpla builders everywhere.

Bruh, I love the Grimgerde. My favorite thing about your job here are your thigh panel lines. Very non-traditional style. Gives the build a lot of personality.

@@StudioGundam another thing that can tell a story is the armor it's self. Like if you take it and recreate it but not as smooth, it says that the armor was quickly and sloppily repaired or recreated, same can go for the limbs aswell
Wow. This model was my first customization. And I too chose to fully change the paint job. But your results are, uh... better than mine were. But that's okay, there's no shame in having room to grow. I'm still having a ton of fun.

More simply stunning work. Gotta agree with the grimgerde being an under rated MS. The only think I can think to change on the base kit would be to maybe putty in the backs of the arm shields. Wile they look so cool, some angles just look holo. Also opens up some more scribing/panelining opportunity. Love your work and these bonus story elements are super fun.
That samurai design you put into the armor came out great, you can really tell with the detail.

I agree with you the grimgerde is underated for me it's my favorite ms and my first gunpla was the hg grimgerde i love it and love how you custom it really
I like that, while posing, you had vidar do a 2 handed static block on Barbatos, as it really emphasises the weight and power those weapons carry. Good luck blocking any of those strikes with one arm.

I still have him in the box, he was the first in the series that I bought. the form and proportion of this guy looks just right and balance to me, and I'm afraid I would mess him up since I'm not that experienced with customizing.
Barbatos now needs an ally - predict Bael or Flauros next, maybe even a custom hashmal :)

IMO ibo gundams and mobile suits are the best to customize.
The armor is easy to paint and separate the inner frame. Its just perfect for customs! And the fact that some parts have 3 mm holes also make it easy to customize!

For full disclosure, my IBO collection consists of (in order of acquisition): Grimgerde, Lupus, Lupus Rex, Reginlase Julia. Loving every single one (3 of them got custom painted too). Vidar was in contention to be included in my quartet, but lost out to Julia in the end (cos I couldn't find inspiration for custom paint scheme for Vidar... painter's block I guess).
If GBN was real, those Gunpla reveals with that music is EXACTLY how I picture the beginning of boss battles to look like.

From what is see from Grimgerde is the Assassin of Gunplas, because it's a high mobility Gundam so it should have stealth on it's side
Grimgerde was my first painted kit. I wanted to be safe so I just used a metallic red on it. However, your videos are awesome and I've used them to start my next kit the HG Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City (silly name honestly but I love the design) Keep up the good work!

Technically, I think Grimgerde was on (early form) Barbatos' side in S1, and Vidar didn't come into the picture till S2 to battle with Lupus Rex (It's been a while since I watched IBO). But as a fellow builder, I'm more than happy to extend the creative licence. Simply splendid project this far. 💯👍🏻 Couldn't wait till Part 4...
You are right, but the Grimgerde wasn't used at all after that so it could still fit in the official timeline
Have you ever thought about making a little edge box with no bottom to just place around your black top where you drop the pieces to take them back apart? So they don’t go on the ground and everywhere
