Super small world, Nick, but you’re in my sister’s house in this video lol. Jordan is her boyfriend. I found out this summer after being subscribed to you for months that he’s your video guy.
Bro that’s crazy!
No!! That’s so god damn funny, I hope it brought you and Jordan together. Ellen’s a sweetheart!
*_may you have a fantastic day and many more to come❤🥰_*
My man Nick here with another terrific video... I'm sticking with the Alden Indy's Nick you got me on and actually thinking about buying another pair... Love the fit and comfort of them.... You created a monster Nick, I'm spending too much money now on boots! LOL... Greg the "Old Timer"
Excellent video my man. Hope you have a awesome 2024 fella
hey thanks mr augustine!
White’s boots via Bakers Shoes is insanely customizable including horsehide and horse butt.
Love whites... the prices are getting crazy though 😳 800 for the bounty hunter LTT with like basic cxl
@@thec.tysonsynopsis7280 I know… they are getting a bit much
Jim green will
Customize there models .. I had a special horween African ranger .. more dress boot
I love hoffmans. What do you think of them?
I just bought Fortis engineer boots and can't say anything else but a very well made boots! As an Indonesian that work on-site a lot I always prefer brands from the US since they made a really good steel toe boots, but seeing your videos about Indonesian boots, I started to look into my country's boots and all I can say is they have the same quality if not better! Too bad the Indonesian market on boots is not that big, but glad they got a lot of interests from abroad 👍
I have 2 different boots from Ray at Renavgoodsco from Indonesia. 1 monkey boot, and one semi dress replica, both were like $350 shipped and only took 3 months to be made and shipped
Franks is the best best for customizable PNW boots by far. Whites through Bakers gets second place.
This video made me instantly think of all the wonderful Indonesia based brands, im still absolutely head over heels with my marbled teal horsehide ltt monkeyboots from Imperium, just the right amount of weird and loud, but still classy imo
yeah indonesia's so tops, i have 4 videos from my trip there that are STILL getting edited but hopefully out next month
Atelier Amareto in Leon does MTO and MTM. He will make his own creations or per customer request. Price is very reasonable. Make quality is good. I have purchased three pairs over the years. They wear very well over time. Speaks very good English.
long time watcher, very informative, love the gray flight jacket , where is it from?
bradley mountain! 'stridewise10' gets 10% off stridewise.com/bradley-mountain-g1-waxed-bomber/
One of the best you dont have to wait for at all is Italian hand made boots Officine Creative, design you cant beat and craftsmanship and quality of materials they use is absolutely fantastic. My favorite model is Anatomia boots of shoes as well and I believe you can find them in NY or where ever you are, price is high but quality and design... You should try them at least.
what do you mean you don't have to wait for officine creative? how long do they take to get made?
@@Stridewise They are not made to order...
@@predragmedojevic2504 so not MTO so not on this video dummy
@@predragmedojevic2504 oh you were just randomly mentioning an unrelated boot company? Ok well I’m glad you like them!
@@StridewiseTrust me their quality is amazing, I own Viberg, White’s and many other boot brands and shoes (over 80 pairs🤦♂️😆) but Officine Creative are crazy good, pricy but amazing. Once you try them there is no other ones period 😆
Hey bro., what jacket are you wearing at 1:41
Where's that jacket from?
Nick's is 18 WEEKS; Wesco is 18 MONTHS... But Nick's has some options that are less expensive than others or may ship sooner, but then, like you said, the leather may be more dull than some other offerings if you don't just want matte brown. I spent two hours on the Wesco webste last week but then had to order compromise color offerings from other companies and such.
Frank's might cost more for similar options, but then they will offer more interesting leather maybe, so it depends on if you just need it faster and cheaper or if you want to wait, etc. JK had a thing where you could save a hundred bucks if you delay your arrival time for twice the length of the USUAL arrival time, but then after I would have done a couple add-ons, the cost was still back up to the regular cost with the regular wait for the base boots that can ship in two months or something, so I guess it depends upon how much you REALLY need these customizations from these kinds of companies for more functional, non-fashion boots. Some of the offerings that they try to make more fashion friendly I think miss the mark, like how this channel gave up on the Urban Loggers as not URBAN enough, whereas I would say any logger boot really still needs more than a 6" shaft for ankle support, anyway.
Those black outsoles are just not made for asphalt, either.
But if you're shopping for these kinds of boots, I guess you're already over the idea that they cost way more than anything from Boot Barn or AMZN, etc.
Apart from customization features, I don't know why the Wesco boots cost more than the other brands for the base model boots, and at the moment I'm not patient enough to find out.
the khaki stitching looked cool on the virtual simulator thing, but don't know if it looks that much better in REAL LIFE than the red, too, etc.
BLKBRD is also a very good Indian option
how much do they customize them tho?
@@Stridewise they pretty much do anything. Some people even ask for a new pattern with the existing last. However the customization is done through email, but they are good at communicating.
Indonesia is over, all the hot makers are in China! JK, those guys are still doing fantastic work. I have pairs from several and always enjoy the MTO process.
In Philly Nick?
What about Bordon Boots? Just ordered my tukano in W&C latigo.
Eh they aren't all that customizable
@@Stridewise seems legit, regards from Mexico City!
People sleep on Adelante shoes. Especially women’s boots/shoes
Awww you forgot Frank's and Whites by Baker
I think once i've done Nicks and JK and Wesco the video was a bit PNW'd out especially given Franks/Whites don't customize THAT much, but they're good to know about
What are the best boots for digging jew tunnels over there in New york?
I’ve bought several pairs of boots recently. For me it’s Nick’s and Grant Stone. Although Nick’s lead time is like 6-8 months.
those are two EXCELLENT options, you did your homework
@@Stridewise yes thanks to Stridewise and a couple other similar channels. 😍
I have narrow feet. Hard for me to find shoes. I'm a b width. Recommendations? Thanks
I have narrow feet as well. And low volume. Sometimes it's a pain in the ass. But if you like PNW type boots, all of the main 4 U.S. PNW bootmakers can do B width MTM - White's, Nicks, Frank's, & Wesco.
@@UTubeandChill thanks for recommendation I will check them out
@@UTubeandChill any dress sneakers you recommend?
Undandy
Why no mention of John Doe for MTO?
too many reports of them taking money and not giving customers boots
This is BEST OF list lol 😆, no explanation of why Wesco is on here or NICKS over WHITES
Taft is such a over hyped and terribly made brand...
Carmina! custom and Hockery! Custom!
why no mention those? are you on The Take?
on the take from 6 competing companies and Indonesian makers all working together against Carmina? yes i am you cracked the conspiracy! nah i just forgot but i'll add them to the written article
