I'm very surprised to say, as I expected to find changes I would make, to report there are none. The pit works great. The change I will be making when I cook a hog this year: I will not use a barrel to burn the wood. I will just keep a campfire going. The barrel burned the wood up too quickly.
So I googled vive and don't think that was what you meant. Auto correct isn't always a help, lol. Our next guess would be wife . . . if that is the case we have had company for 10 days and she has been busy serving them. That is why we didn't get a video out last Friday. Hope this answers your question. If not, ask again. 😃
Outstanding job brother I wish I lived near you.May God bless you.
Nice work!!
Thanks!
Cool pit- 😎! Thankful to know first hand that it roasts well!
There was a really good helper keeping the coals in it. 😉
Genius design
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT VIDEO. WANT TO SEE HOW YOU DO IT COMPARED TO KEVIN FROM HIDDEN HEIGHTS FARM AND KEEPING IT DUTCH
Really enjoyed this video - we are thinking of building a pit ourselves. Any changes you would make since roasting the hog?

How many total blocks?
Sorry it has taken me so long to remember to get out there and count them. 54 full blocks and 14 of the top cap blocks (4 inches tall.)
Turn the far middle block with opening so it will vent.
You need to pick a draft pipe
Where is your vive
