poorly aged costumes aside, this is one of the best routines they ever did. vocally they sound incredible and it show cased their dancing talents impeccably - and not just that, it show cased _all_ of them. though it’s hard to pin point who’s who in this one, you can definitely tell that the choreography was distributed pretty evenly. a big problem in some of these later routines was the favouritism towards kelly (and occasionally, sarah and gianni) taking away from the talents of the rest of the group.
Yeah, I've got real problems identifying everyone in this one too, but you're right: they're all at the top of their game here. There are a lot of very long shots (in both senses), meaning there was absolutely nowhere for anyone to hide, but of course they don't fail to deliver. As always.
0:03 Danny, also in the middle at 0:59 0:07 Cassie next to Gianni, being carried at 1:48 0:07 Nick in between them, also dancing with Claire at 1:18 in the middle. 0:08 Gianni to the left with his arms crossed next to Cassie, dancing with somebody at 1:18 on the left (I'm thinking Sarah), carrying Cassie at 1:48 in the middle. 0:14 Sarah on the right, also on the left at 0:43 0:14 Kelly on the left lying on the floor, right of the screen at 0:43 0:43 Roy on the left carrying maybe Tiffany off screen, again on the left carrying Cassie at 1:48. Dancing with someone on the right of the screen at 1:18. 0:45 Claire in the middle, also dancing with Nick at 1:18 Abbie at 0:54, also at 0:12 next to Kelly but you can't see her face. And Im stuck after that. I can't obviously see Tiffany I think either Abbie or TIffany is dancing with Roy at 1:18 (I'm thinking Tiffany)

Holiday's actually from the 1987 series of Emu's Wide World. From 1988, there's only one song missing completely (Working in a Coalmine), so there are three more still to come: Danger Zone, Fascinating Rhythm and Rod singing My Friend in the last ever Emu's World.
at the very beginning, she is on the right of the fire (opposite kelly), though you can’t see her face, just the top of her head. at 0:57 i believe she is front and middle (at first i thought she was left back, but i think that’s actually cassie)
Still one of my favorites. It really showcased what they could do in terms of dancing.

These are the ones who need to reunite...
I'd love for that to happen, and would pay good money to see it.

VideotapeFTW I hope one day you can find "Working In A Coal Mine"... I love DEVO's version!
Although this may be questioned nowadays, this routine is very enjoyable 😀
It's strange to think now, but this would actually have been seen as relatively progressive back then in terms of representation.
You can really hear Kelly’s voice in this one!
1:47 I really can’t tell wich girl they’re lifting up, but she looks small so it might be abbie
You think it's Cassie? She was the youngest girl in the group at this point, right?
@@sagelaw5997 probably, i thought about that too but idk
it’s cassie 😁
@@windmillkid oh okay thank you💗
1:47 I imagine that they drop her in this scene and how did that girl not freak out if that happened to me I would be scared
There's absolutely no guarantee they _didn't_ drop her in rehearsals...

@@MssStarryX I'm just being silly. I've heard stories of things occasionally going quite wrong when they were first learning certain routines..
In America this would be considered racist.
I like to think that people would see it for what it was rather than what it _could_ mean from a modern point of view; sadly, I think you're right.
People are just far too sensitive nowadays
@@emilian7052 Yep. No Doubt were forced to pull one of their videos because Native Americans complained about the theme.

And that's why I'm never singing this (I'm American)
Did you know that Staying Alive was directed by Slyvester Stallone the guy who wrote Rocky and Rambo
Where’s Abbie?
Well, all ten of them are in the final shot, so she _is_ there. I struggle to make out who's who in this one, though.
