Hey man I have a 1998 cr125 so same motor at least i don't think they changed them between those two years. Absolutely love it my 98 even tho it's not the best handling honda cr125 it just screams. Always see on the forums people talking about what year motors were the best. To me since the 98 and 99 hpp motors had those newly designed power valves adjusted correctly it gave the motor so much more bottom end to me. What's your opinion? BTW what piston brand do you usually go with. Currently going to be doing a water pump and top end on mine so piston choice def matters. Have you ever tried different brands to see if theres a performance change or one with less wear? Lastly is your cylinder head decked at all or your running stock compression? Thanks for your time man great video and awesome bike.
We have had the most success with Wiseco, and run them in all of our bikes. As of now they are stock compression, but we plan on building a high compression Cr125 soon.
Yes we only ride these 125’s on the track, if it was trails i would probably do a piston at about 30 hrs at most on a piston.i actually do a piston in my race bike at 15 hours and put the old piston in my trails bike haha
That's the best parts washing video ever.
Thanks for making this!
5:59 what’s up with the music 🤣 went to bad ass to watching little kid instruction videos
Dom has some weird taste in music haha.
😍😍😍❤️
what’s a good mixture ratio? And best place to know where things go like tubings and electrical.
We run 40:1 on all of our bikes. I recommend Rockymountainatvmc they have very good oem parts diagrams.
@@slowroadtopro8225 alright thanks!
Did you guys torque the cylinder/head?

They were originally from ebay. Im not sure if you can find them anywhere else
Would have loved some comments while taking apart the HPP. Little hard to see.
We will be swapping the cylinder on a 98 cr125 very soon, I will make sure to go more in depth about disassembling it. Stay tuned! 👍🏻
@@slowroadtopro8225 looking forward to it. Your reassemble video is great by the way!
