Hello, I’m building a 1992 cr125 from top to bottom and while I was cleaning the case I had to take out the gears… I don’t remember the order🤦♂️ if anyone knows the order for the gearbox lmk please
I have a 1995 cr125r, and when the bike isn’t running and I try to shift it into first gear it won’t go but I can shift it into second. Would you happen to know why it does that?
Hey Isiah, there could be a few possible causes, if you did not rebuild the transmission your possible causes out of the manual are a worn “fork shifter”, a worn bent “fork shifter shaft”, a damaged “shift drum”. This video is a 5 speed transmission, yours is a 6 speed, everything is very identical, I had done a 6 speed rebuild once and had a lot of trouble, I had similar outcomes to what you are experiencing, I never concluded the problem but the “shifter fork” for the first gear was more worn than the others, I thought maybe the bike had high mileage and was not maintained at one point in time, so it cause that part to get worn out. The manual does mention for Hard to shift possibilities could be the “shifter spindle paw” is worn or damaged. That you will see in the next video from this one. That at least is a lot easier to inspect because you only need to take off the outer right part of the case. If you come down to - wanting to check out the manual. If you send me a message on Facebook or Instagram I’ll send you it, I have it in a Dropbox pdf, it was a pain in the ass for me to get... lol
Hey it is not the same gearbox. The one you have is a 6 speed the best way to go about this is to download the PDF online manual for that bike and put it together based on the diagram, the gasket on the transfer case makes a difference, so if you are going to do this and need to “test” it just put it all try and see if you get all gears + neutral in between the 1-2
I read that the left right markings are supposed to face the right crankcase?
On any outer washers put marine grease on them so u don't have to worry about them falling out.
That’s a good idea man! Thanks Mann!
you're a fuckin lifesaver. great video

You know what disregard a little of what I said, it might be a 5 speed, I have a video where I put the gearbox in order.
And when it’s running I can shift it into first gear and all the bike does is rev
What do you suppose the issue is?
