But EVERYONE was gassing her up, the point Ally is making that women are oppressed in the male gaming space, where that was literally disproven last year when everyone had eyes on kels. She sadly didn’t win the elite or qualify for champs and retired this year. So she is the only example for a female competing at this level and she had immense support. There is no oppression towards women in gaming, they’re not on pro teams because they just aren’t at that level.

Men have faster reaction times, denser bones, more stamina(yes, men have more endurance, it's just that at extreme distances/in ultra marathons the gap shrinks somewhat because in extreme endurance events mentality and willpower become more of a deciding factor), more fast twitch muscle and more muscle in general, so we're stronger and faster and harder to hurt. This can be mitigated by use of PEDs somewhat, but even with use of HGH and testosterone in formative years, trans men(who are born female) are outperformed by trans women(who are born male). Trans athletes in gender segregated sports just doesn't work. They are either heavily advantaged or heavily disadvantaged, and the longer we pretend this isn't the case and allow trans women to compete in their divisions the more women are hurt as their futures as athletes are stolen from them.

Yeah this is a minefield and I think it would be very hard to have a sensible mature discussion about a situation like this. As you say being transgender is not the actual issue here. Personally I strongly support someone's right to publicly determine their own gender identity. However biological sex is by its very nature hard wide into us. Now people can alter their sex through hormones surgery etc But becoming transgender does not imply you have done any of that. Her scores seem to clearly suggest she is levels above everyone else who are likely biologically female and that's really the issue. It's hard to understand why someone who can dominate like that would not in fact prefer to play in the mail league simply to give themselves a legitimate challenge. On the other hand if she was not good enough to make the male league then things become slightly more complicated as you could argue she played in the only professional league she was able to get into. If that's the case then hating on her is really missing the point, as it's really a question for the people who set the rules of eligibility.

Yeah this is a minefield and I think it would be very hard to have a sensible mature discussion about a situation like this. As you say being transgender is not the actual issue here. Personally I strongly support someone's right to publicly determine their own gender identity. However biological sex is by its very nature hard wide into us. Now people can alter their sex through hormones surgery etc But becoming transgender does not imply you have done any of that. Her scores seem to clearly suggest she is levels above everyone else who are likely biologically female and that's really the issue. It's hard to understand why someone who can dominate like that would not in fact prefer to play in the mail league simply to give themselves a legitimate challenge. On the other hand if she was not good enough to make the male league then things become slightly more complicated as you could argue she played in the only professional league she was able to get into. If that's the case then hating on her is really missing the point, as it's really a question for the people who set the rules of eligibility.
Jannies joining women's sports/esports is because they were average or sub average at best and they need a group of people that are easier to beat. Ironically, women are the ones who asked for this.
