Excellent video, this teacher is truly a gem. Back when I was in middle school in early and mid 1970's, we had Black teachers whom not only taught us the importance of the contributions of African Americans made that made the World a better place but they always challenged us to be the change we want to see. Sadly, we don't see that anymore. I noticed it was the mention of Black scientists and inventors whom the students knew nothing about. Sad.
I'm 31 years old I've learned more from this RUclips video then I have back when I was in school when they so called themselves teaching us black history month 😒 all teachers need to be like you are I'm showing this to my children. Good job JoJo 🙏🏽
@@MegzXo So true! Because citizens need to know that we contributed a lot to this country. Wonderful things that Americans couldn’t live their lives without. It shouldn’t be called Black history, but we have to, because they won’t include our history, lest other races find out how much we have contributed in making this country great, during and after slavery. Being oppressed and still inventing things such as the Pacemaker and how to perform blood transfusions, etc. As the old saying goes, the Half Has Never Been Told!!
I like this mainly because it can be shown/viewed day after day, year after year. I really appreciate your drive and love for educating youth beyond the "typical" education....❤❤❤❤
Gregory's 24Fit Fitness Fitness Thank you for appreciating it...folks don’t see the behind the scenes struggles...but I BELIEVE in fighting the GOOD fight!

Special thanks to John Burr I guess. I own a lawn maintenance and landscaping company. Special thanks to all the black leaders and activists as well or who knows where we’d be today. 👏🏾💪🏾🙌🏾👌🏾

Thomas Marshall is sometimes called Thomas Martin in regard 2 the invention & or improvement of the fire extinguisher (patent 1872). The picture shown with the name as the teacher spoke was that of "Lewis Lattimer" not Thomas Marshall aka Thomas Martin.
B.K. Redd Yeah, that was an error in the part of the person who edited the video for me...the video has like a half a mil views on social media-you’re the FIRST to notice!!!! A++++!
@@JoJoPerkin Thx 4 responding. I'm a H.S. Social Science/Studies teacher. The video was great and I will be adding it as a resource & tool 4 classroom instruction. 😉 keep up the good work...
I rewatched your video again, and believe a few of the pictures are 4 the incorrect African American inventors. Ms. Parker, George Sampson and Lewis Lattimer 2 name a few. I did a quick search and discovered same pics with different names? So when u get a chance & I know u busy; plz correct & update 2 the best of ur ability. If I get more concrete accurate data, I will send it 2 u. 😉
