Flipside: SHOOPY-POP-A-DOO - Here is another really great unknown ballad from my music collection. NOTE: this is not The Florescents group (spelled differently) that recorded “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TONIGHT/BEING IN LOVE (Bethlehem #3079) 1963 and hailed from Harford, Connecticut.
We were not able to find out any information about this Fluorescents group that recorded this upload of “THE FACTS OF LOVE”. The song was released again in 1963 for (Candlelite Records #420).
The Mints are dedicating this upload of “THE FACTS OF LOVE” to two very dear friends and big supporters of both our RUclips music Channels, Mr. & Mrs. Pittsburgh aka ‘The Pittsburgh Mints’ aka Paul & Lori.
Enjoy this really great unknown ballad “THE FACTS OF LOVE” by The Fluorescents!
One beautiful ballad, with hints of The Channels sound...So appreciate all you do for those of us who love these great ballads of yesteryear...Thank you Ron and also special thanks to your wife and little Mint for finding and dedicating this one for Lori and I...will call you soon my friend...
This was a perennial best seller at Times Square Records..I wore out the grooves on this one..lol..thks
Brooklyn Mint, so don't go wearing my upload out, OK? LOL😂
this record reminds me of Wayne Sterling who passed away recently one of the pioneers of this music r.i.p.
A good one. I have the Candlelight reissue. It's nice to see the original. Thx Ron. Steve
Boston Mint aka Steve, it really doesn't matter what you have it on, as long as you have this "GREAT" ballad. All OK in your camp?
Another great ballad I love it thank you so much for sharing Ron and the background.
For Sure a Fantastic Ballad ! I Have A Reissue From "Relic' . Always a Favorite !
Thanks Ron, a long forgotten one in my mp3s.
Thanks for sharing these rarities, Ron! Perhaps the listed composers are the group members: John Bowden, Jack Panes, and Murray Wallberg.
nice one I need to add to my collection. thanx Ron
John, I can always break mine in half and give you half LOL.😃 Well, it went for $100.00 24 years ago.
Fantastic! What more could you want from a song - great lead, floating tenor, strong bass. I remember hearing this was one of Slim’s from Time Square Records favorite songs.
rocknroller, you are so right when you say " what more could you want from a song". I appreciated you sharing in some R.I. doowop, history.😃 If for any reason you should ever visit South Jersey, let me know!
@@mintrecords4ever Where abouts in South Jersey? I also live there.
