My Tech years were 1968-72. We spent time in Chassell and all the other ruins hiking, exploring. What you have done brings history alive and makes it accessible. Kudos for your work.

Interesting. I lived in Chassell in '86 & '87, during the school year when I was at da Tech (not a Sig Rho guy). I never knew anything about the lumber. Amazing. But I did catch some nice smelt in the Pike River at the old bridge. 😎 And I saw some bodacious pike come through the ice! Nice video. I learned something!

I'm glad you learned something new! There really isn't enough out there about the lumbering history of the area. Hoping to get out for a smelt story here soon!

What a waste of money. Our roads are nothing but pot holes… Build another trail, bike path, etc,.,
