    I looks like it is all on a slant starting at the top of the arc so the water in the drain lines can run into the half moon pond using gravity. Like the aqueducts in Rome. Great video.

      Yes, all Hakka houses were designed that way, including Hakka Tulou which are not flat on the first floor.
