For anyone who'll listen... I bought the JHS 3 series Harmonic Trem and it is phenomenal if you like this kind of thing. The 3 series is marketed as a "budget" alternative to more expensive "boutique" stuff but the quality of this pedal stands on it's own in every way regardless of price. JHS could have put this circuit in a fancier box with a different name and easily charged twice as much. The JHS Harmonic Trem gets my vote for Pedal Of The Year
A very very mild, mid-tempo tremolo is one of my secret weapons when recording leads. Turn it up just enough to hear the effect, and then down a touch. Pair with a vibrato used in the same way, and for some reason it makes my lead tones stand out better, and they sound more musical. It's my cheat/hack for bad finger control. Just that very small amount of oscillation makes a huge difference, even when it's barley audible to the human ear on its own.
I often use very light chorus which adds to a similar tonal improvment. Chorus isn't my favourite modulation effect but it can really aid tone when used minimally.
Wanted to pop in with some engagement to thank you guys for your continuing efforts, I appreciate being able to get some ideas of what I might be able to get out of all the gear you feature.
The Mira compressor was a real eye opener for me. No one seemed to explain the Makeup control well but it’s really useful. Your signal is split in 2 and the Mix knob sets how much clean and how much compressed you hear. However, compression reduces volume so Makeup let’s you adjust the volume of just the compressed signal. Crap - that sounds like nonsense. You can Level, Mix, and Makeup controls to get a wide variety of compression sounds/feel. How about that?
Here's a fun thing to do whilst watching "Lee and Pete" vids... Wait for Lee to unwittingly say something suggestive, then just smile and watch Pete's reaction 😂
I bought the EONS for the less dramatic and always useful dead on cloned sounds of the Big Muff Rams Head and the equally good clone of both a Tonebender and/or a Fuzz Face. Both get a 10 out of 10 in how well they nailed these sounds. In short you get 3 of the best classics that are at minimum equal in tone to 3 other separate pedals made by well respected other brands. In other words the crazy over the top stuff you heard today is not why to buy the EONS just extra sounds thrown in effect for free. The damn pedal covers just about any Fuzz sound you might need. To have all this buying separate pedals as good but NOT better would cost at least $800.00 USD. So the EONS is a total steal at $230.00 USD. The icing on the cake is it uncannily free of hum and hiss.
Just bought one for most of those reasons. Loop switchers caused my fuzz pedal collection to get a bit excessive and I have been scaling things back over the last couple of months.
A lot of goth stuff also has VERY compressed guitars. I think originally it was just bands that couldn't afford nice studios/equipment, but now it's a key part of the sound. Also applies to goth adjacent bands like Joy Division.
Great vid guys. Some really good fuzz on there. Love the walrus sounds killer. I don't think I'd play much lyrical on it. Just get a groove going and play wwith the sustain and feedback:)
I have the Eon fuzz and it’s very nice but I prefer my actual fuzz face over the selection 3 and I prefer my thorpy Marshall over the gated starved selection 2. It’s a super awesome pedal for someone who is looking for something where they definitely want an awesome fuzz and want to garauntee that they get one… there will be at least 2 probably 3 for everyone… but for people who collect fuzz or have a bunch of boutique stuff already you will probably find that your specialty stuff already covers your bases. Great fuzz
Exactly my thoughts. I have a Fulltone '69, a ZVex Mastotron and an Ibanez OD850 and was thinking about getting the Eons to save some pedalboard space. Thanks for confirming! If I may ask: What are your fuzz favourites at the moment?
I usually don't like fuzz pedals at all. If you've ever played a DS-1 with the battery running low, it sounds just like awful thin fuzz. I just don't like that muffled break-up sound. However the Fjord Berserk sounds really good!
Run the harmonic trem into a compressor to smooth out the volume variations and then run into auto tune to sort out the pitch variations. If the compressor and auto tune can make it sound like the harmonic trem bypassed, then they are the shiz. :P
What guitar is that 1st one? Wish they’d put a link for it, beautiful guitar. Then again Pete’s playing it so it has no choice but to look and sound beautiful. Never mind Pete sat still long enough to get a good look at the headstock.
27:17 easy Pete ... we were all thinking it mate

I've got the 3 Series Delay and Fuzz, and I can't disagree with your statement about this series of pedals.
Missed opportunity to open with, "For those about to rock..."
Wow that octave reverb 😮love it.
The Walrus Eon is outrageous!
Danish Pete seemed like he was ready to go 'Berserker' at any moment. You alright Pete? Blink 3 times if you need backup!! ;)
Well he is a Dane … isn’t berserker in his DNA?

That Fjord Fuzz sounds incredible
My kinda pedals! Well made, reasonable price good sounds, especially the two JHS ones, the goat fuzz was pretty versatile too. Nice one guys!
That thumb nail is literally four of my absolute favorite pedals.

Well, I'm absolutely getting an Eons now.

Fjord Fuzz sounds really good too on RUclips. It's Fuzzface-like. I'll bet it sounds great into an already driven amp.
It is a Fuzz Face. The V1 has two other controls, that they left off this one for some reason.
The eons is a mean fuzz. The goat looks way to nice for the sounds it produces.
Danish Pete with the Harmonic Tremolo 😍😍
The eons is based on the "rams head" big muff, which explains the Rams head
Okay okay, but the Thor’s chariot story is much cooler.
So much fun.I had to come back.🤘🏿😎 Getcha Pull 🥃-CHEERS 🍻
holy mother of zuse, that goat pedals at another level, it aint kidding
Best spity fuzz I've heard in a long time
I like the walrus fuzz pedal

Orderd a aeons from you the other day excited to Try it

That guitar sounds mint! Nice Walrus fuzz pedal too!

Could sit and listen to Pete play that harmonic trim for hours

I’ve got a few great compressors, including an Origin. To my ears, the Boss CS-3 is as good as any of them.
Ahhh.. good times as always 🤘🏿👹🦇😎🤓🤘🏿
I CANNOT watch a Pete video without stopping and picking up my guitar to steal ideas and then I stop watching for half an hour!.....your fault
Great video as always guys! One of each please 😆
I just got the harmonic trem is sounds awesome with a spring reverb running into it then into a phaser
eons mode 3 for the win
@ 5min mark I was getting the “someone has a window slightly open in the car on a motorway noise kinda vibe going on 😅
I really want the Eons.
Saucy stuff. Cheers, fellas.
Lee must be incredibly patient..
Love the octave reverb, but already have a Keeley Caverns, so... Damn. Might buy it anyway.
Was that "Berserker" in the funny voice from Erik the Viking? Lol
3:15 🤣 that is comically slow, I love it hehe
Love that you guys cover my boys pedals at fjord! Love em
Here for Andertons, stay for blvd of broken dreams
that didn't take long for the JHS new pedals to get over to us in the UK
Im not sure why, but i feel like Pete was hungover this day lol
How does mira compare to cali76? Don't have the possibility to try them out side bu side
Pedals are fun.
Are there any musical (or any kind of) idioms that people in the UK use, which people from the USA might not? That would be a fun video to watch.
Walrus mira ❤️❤️❤️

I once cocked my wah into a Big Muff but my wet signal ended up a bit throaty.

It’s from a British guitar maker called PJD. They’re on our site & we did a RUclips review earlier this year.
That reverb will be huge for Christian guitar players, it’s almost like a washy pad!
Are the goats named Thunder and Lightning?
Wonder if that Waltus Eon cleans up with guitar volume on that Germanium setting/mode.
eons 👀 👏👏👏
Fuzzstortion…me likie!!!
Captain Lee that was one of the worst attempts to answer the question “what is harmonic trem?” I’ve ever heard!! 🤦🏼♂️🙀🤣🤣🤣
What guitar is pete playing? Hollow body LP type thing?
That guitar Pete is playing looks and sounds like my cuppa tea. What is it?
It’s from a British brand called PJD… the whole range is on our site.
I don't know why but tremolo makes feel uneasy.
same!
A little sea sick are we ?
So... Walrus Mira is any good?.
What guitar is that? a les paul body and a telecaster neck?
I’ve seen a few shops selling this PJD brand guitars. But never seen a review video. Any chance guys?
We did that video earlier this year….
If a distortion and a fuzz had a kid... it would be a rat
? Have you ever reviewed the Catalinbread Talisman plate reverb pedal ?
As of Feb '23, it's still the best plate reverb you can buy in a pedal format.
You guys are not helping my GAS!
#pjdguitars. Love that Carey model. ;)
Hahaha the The walrus eon fuzz pedal broke their audio
I've wanted to ask this for a while now... WTH is that led number board in the background? I've seen a couple other channels with something similar...
It's a dB meter, literally measures the sound levels in the room.
