- Video of Race 3 at Silverstone GP Circuit in my new Division 1 Superkart. start 10th - Finish 8th out of 50.
Had a good start then slipped back a little. I was on Old wet tyres as an intermediate tyre as the track was drying. However the lack of grip was really challenging. Had a great battle for 7th mid race but i made a few to many mistakes unfortunately, mainly just getting used to the Different Kart.
I had virtually no testing on the Friday and just the one wet session before the racing. This meant it was very difficult to get on the pace quickly especially in tricky 'greasy' conditions. Had an awesome time racing and a big thank you to Dan (mechanic) John at Redspeed Racing and Dave from Harvey Motorsport. - Спорт
Wow, super tricky conditions! Nice run Rob.
Thanks so much mate!!
Would love to give those karts a try, looks awesome to race, Great job out there!
I really appreciate it! I know I’m not the best, but I deffo pushed my limits out there!
Great driven Rob !👍
Thank you mate! Happy Christmas
Well done Rob 👍
Thank you my friend!! Hope you enjoyed! 🏁
very interesting , did the gp from 78 throught till 92 , copse is still the same beckets well so much faster now , would like to run the new gp track for a lap , sounds are the same the same chassis wind up out of luffield, funny how martin used to say he was timed at over 160 on hanger , b s as usual
Sounds fantastic matey!! It’s a phenomenal circuit and one of the best I’ve ever been too!
yes it was my favorite, , we only down shifted,1 for copse2 beckets the other 5 corners were flat, but we had full grids of each class , a real fun time , you must have destroyed those wets a@@MyRob10
In UK you like to do everything in reverse, like changing gears 😂
I beg to differ 🤣🤣
Almost missed this link. Always enjoy the ride along Rob. Does that twin live well at 13,375 and where does it fall off? What was your best lap time and FLOD for your class?
I would say a very good start with this new rocket👍
Yeah I think I change up around 13,700, or around that I think! Best lap time was 1:15.02 or something close… just a shame I didn’t get more testing in as I could have made some minor adjustments and gained a lot more pace! But onwards and upwards, loved every second of it! Thanks for your support David!!
Tidy drive dude!
Thanks mate! Hope you enjoy the videos
That was great! 🇺🇲
Thank you my friend!
How often are these engines getting rebuilt? Pistons changed etc? Looks unbelievably scary btw great drive
Pistons every other race weekend! And full rebuild every 6/7 race weekends! Hope you enjoy the videos on the channel!! 🔥
見えない先行車を追いかける 👍
Thanks matey!
What the name of the league you race in?
Division 1 Superkarts - 250cc twin cylinder
British Superkart Super Series Championship
Hi there new subscriber to your channel I see you’re in a different cart or chassis all together. Do you have to work your way up to this class? Judging by the RPMs, I would guess it’s a 125 cc shifter cart. If so, what mods are you allowed in this class? And Driver qualifications or experience. Thank you for your time and by all means always run in the right tire for the weather. Lol.
Hi there! Thanks so much for subscribing and checking out my videos! Always appreciated! This is a twin cylinder 125cc engine which is bespoke for Superkarts called a VM! The chassis is a 2022 Anderson Division 1 chassis !
Hey Rob, it’s Bill again just wondering the qualifications or experience you need to run in your class also, I threw a joke there about running the right tires for the weather conditions only because I watched one race were the only girl was the driver of one cart and 32 other guys Were racing. She is the only one who left to rain tires on and guess what ended up happening she ended up winning the race from the 29th position. See if you can find it on RUclips. It’s something to watch. Have a great day and drive safely.
Oh, I did forget to mention soon as the race was green flagged it started to rain after two laps amazing race. I hope you find it. I will look in the meantime and pass it on.
@@billreutow1784 hi mate! Hope all is good! Basically all you need is an ARKS licence which allows you to race Superkarts! Then you can build up the number of races completed on your licence then you can quite quickly race in the championships and even abroad
Hey Rob, check out British kart championship 33 carts on slicks
I saw that lap 8. Don't look at the camera you slipped 😆😆😆😆 soon as I think you was going to hit 7th gear a corner kept coming up. Dang it 😣😣😣😅😅😅
Haha we change gear ratios depending on circuit and wind conditions
@@MyRob10 gotcha
Can you do normal track days in these with other normal cars etc?
I think generally Superkarts are on “test days” rather than generic car track days! I’ve not seen a Superkart out with cars as it would be far to dangerous I think
How many gears does it have. You didn't even touch 7th gear
Thanks dude! It only has 5 gears sequential gears
@@MyRob10 okay
Thats great I like it like that👍
Thanks so much Gregory!
MPH 👎
Why the downward thumb?
@@MyRob10 he can’t do conversions I guess 😂
Maybe no speak or write English
@@OutKartnAround if reaching speeds of 140+MPH an inch off the ground doesn’t get a thumbs up then nothing will 🤣🤣
@@MyRob10 and people think I’m crazy running 125cc at 95ish. Supers are complete monsters! Shame cost entry is so high in comparison
Ciao, una domanda, ma la partenza perché viene fatta così? Poi ho visto che uno ti sorpassa nel giro prima di partire, come mai? Ti rende la posizione o rimane davanti?
Hi mate! They might be just getting into correct position before the lights go out that’s all
was mine even sow fast...dammit ...blow up racing team
Thanks matey!
