"Texture of a pressed croissant"? Hahahaa. Croissants are meant to be light, buttery and flaky. They weren't meant to be pressed and overcooked to that extent.

I don’t understand why people (usually Americans) cut croissants open and put sandwich fillings in them. They’re perfectly delicious as their own pastry or maybe with a little jam. 🤷🏻♀️
it doesnt look really yummy, 1- The croissant dough firstly is made for waste, people spend hours making the croissant for the flaky texture inside, they simply smashed it and lost the work in vein, and in became a regular butter dough like any as if they didn't to the flipping and cooling for 3-4 times in row. 2- the dough was rubbery, sticky and shiny, meaning they added way too much butter. 3- they covered it in sugar and toasted it in a waffle make, which is fine i guess, but then adding a salted processed cheese... that was odd, I guess sweet stuff with salty cheese is a thing there, they even topped it with powdered sugar and parmesan cheese. I feel they had the vision but executed poorly.
