I'm Honduran-American and just recently found your music. I love your music, and everything about what you make. Thank you for being proud of who you are! I wish you nothing but success in the future.
This is so f'n dope, needed the lyrics but after I read it was clear. Thought I was Latina for a min. Such a vibe. Nice creative message. Great music ✌🏾
Daniela this is gold. You’re such a threat. This album is such a vibe (on repeat) and these visuals go so beautifully with it. Also your fitssssss!!!❤️
I enjoy this because growing up in Mexico 🇲🇽 and South L.A. tamale 🫔 making is a religion. You have your corn, pork, chicken and dulce 🍭 tamales. Popular during the cold season and yes people sale them in the trunk of their car illegally in L.A. because they can’t afford a license to sale food yet. Better then dope!
Daniela, from my personal point of view, you are a talented, intelligent, and talented artist, and I must admit that the song was pretty well composed with similar examples and style, I'm a fan of yours and in any case for you I wish you health and success
When I saw this video I was genuinely baffled. The song alone puts me in a trance I can’t quite explain. The waves and the frequencies of her voice. I was truly shook. Visuals, vocals, your ambience. I love all of it. 🙏🏾
All the lyrics are tremendously powerful. I feel so understood when you sing “don’t stop me from changing, just need you to listen and to let me go”. Thank you for such artistry❤️🔥✨
É uma sensibilidade em todos esses clipes que eu perco as palavras para descrever. A direção, história e atuação nesse clipe é tão surreal que me sinto em um mundo imaginário onde só existe arte
I’m so in love with this song! I accidentally discovered it a few years ago and this is the first time I’m seeing the music video and artist. She deserves all the success and much more🎉❤
Ok, but like can i say i'm so proud of you.. i haven't talked to you since the tumblr days but maaan.. it's been a pleasure watching your growth and success.
oh God, i've been your fan in the past; seeing this now make me think 'gurrrrrllll ive done it', and you did it so well that made a stranger from Brazil to be PROUD of you. congrats Daniela, ur job and ur music are amazing

The first time I saw this video I really liked the concept of "trafficking" food as I thought it symbolized the value of traditional foods to immigrants (guessing they're it after Gallo pinto) but now I realized it could ACTUALLY be about drug trafficking. First, maiz (corn) was considered as "gold" for indigenous people all across America (continent) as it was the base for most foods. Then, considering how mostly poor latinos are dragged into drug trafficking (putting all kinds of drugs inside them or wrapped around their bodies and make them try to aboard flights) the lyrics make sO much sense, here's some examples: "I can be a little cruel, I can be a little anxious, yeah" anxious by being caught by the police "I used to run and hide, now I'm willing and able" the person hid from doing it because they knew it's bad and dangerous but now is willing to do it because they need the money "Let me provide, let me provide, let me provide" trying to earn money to give to their family or providing the product to drug dealers ?? "Maiz on my thighs, is on my thighs, is on my thighs" that valuable stuff is on their body (inside or attached to) "Don't be mistaken, I'm not here to play with, I get what I'm givin ', get what I deserve "they know it's serious business to get caught with that, and how bad consequences will be "So wrap me in patience, don't stop me from changin', just need you to listen and let me go "probably talking to an officer trying to explain why they are doing that but how they know it's bad and they want a second chance to prove they are not bad, just in need of money "Get me out of this place, get me out of this mindset" wanting to get out of jail and probably seeking for help to find a better way to gain money and get out of that "this is the only way" mindset "I feel like going off somewhere peaceful and quiet, I can hold me so close, kiss my knees in the silence" talking about jail, a lonely and silent place far from their family, but they want to get out and try to live a peaceful life from now on soooo idk if that's the real meaning, but if it is I'm impressed by how Daniela addressed the problem in this way, the song is simply beautiful (and if that's the meaning and everyone realized the first time oops excuse my slow ass)
Relax....it ain't that deep. What's with everyone nowadays trying to explain the "meaning" behind every song. Just enjoy the song for what it is geez. Maybe Daniela just likes tamales!
Hope you guys enjoy the video!! Tamale Merch is now up on my website as well ❤️
Me encantó 😍

Verse 1]
Get me out of this space, get me out of this mindset, yeah
I feel like going off somewhere peaceful and quiet, yes
I can hold me so close, kiss my knees in the silence
Got a long way to go, but I don't need your guidance
I can be a little cruel, I can be a little anxious, yeah
I used to run and hide, now I'm willing and able
Hear the truth, it will follow until you invite it
Strength, it comes in the abstract, no, don't you deny it
[Chorus]
Woman, woman, woman, woman
Hair so curly, skin Honduran
Growing up I felt so foolish
Normal never really cut it
Woman, woman, woman, woman
Hair so soft, your leaves are bloomin'
Tamales and pots are brewin'
Cinnamon horchata coolin'
[Post-Chorus]
Let me provide, let me provide, let me provide
Maíz on my thighs, -íz on my thighs, maíz on my thighs (Yeah, yeah)
Let me provide, let me provide, let me provide
(Ahh, ahh)
Maíz on my thighs, -íz on my thighs, -íz on my thighs (Ah, hey, yeah, ah)
[Verse 2]
Don't be mistaken, I'm not here to play with
I get what I'm givin', get what I deserve, ah
So wrap me in patience, don't stop me from changin'
Just need you to listen and let me go
Get me out of this space, get me out of this mindset, yeah
I feel like going off somewhere peaceful and quiet, yes
I can hold me so close, kiss my knees in the silence
Got a long way to go, but I don't need your guidance
[Chorus]
Woman, woman, woman, woman (Cut it)
(I can't let you)
Woman, woman, woman, woman (Cut it)
(I can't let you)
Tamales and pots are brewin' (Cut it)

I'm really happy that you're around the Internet for me to listen to music like this!
"I can be a little cruel, I can be a little anxious, yeah" anxious by being caught by the police
"I used to run and hide, now I'm willing and able" the person hid from doing it because they knew it's bad and dangerous but now is willing to do it because they need the money
"Let me provide, let me provide, let me provide" trying to earn money to give to their family or providing the product to drug dealers ??
"Maiz on my thighs, is on my thighs, is on my thighs" that valuable stuff is on their body (inside or attached to)
"Don't be mistaken, I'm not here to play with, I get what I'm givin ', get what I deserve "they know it's serious business to get caught with that, and how bad consequences will be
"So wrap me in patience, don't stop me from changin', just need you to listen and let me go "probably talking to an officer trying to explain why they are doing that but how they know it's bad and they want a second chance to prove they are not bad, just in need of money
"Get me out of this place, get me out of this mindset" wanting to get out of jail and probably seeking for help to find a better way to gain money and get out of that "this is the only way" mindset
"I feel like going off somewhere peaceful and quiet, I can hold me so close, kiss my knees in the silence" talking about jail, a lonely and silent place far from their family, but they want to get out and try to live a peaceful life from now on
soooo idk if that's the real meaning, but if it is I'm impressed by how Daniela addressed the problem in this way, the song is simply beautiful

I DIG the VIBE, that's one really smooth song.
