The one possible exception I see is Intellectual Property Lawyers, but even these specialized "Suits" usually have a background in engineering as well.

They're smart they should learn a trade that will have all their financial goals realized . Become tradesmen ,AC repair ,plumbing , electricians ect ect. The trades are always hiring with good pay.If you drive through your town some of the biggest homes aren't doctors ,lawyers But owners of trade companies that started out as apprentices and the rest is history . Not everyone can be a Jobs or Musk??
I did learn a trade now the Mexicans are taking over especially in carpentry plumbing and electrician cheaper pay to them. Go to a construction site you would hardly ever see an American working there.
Tech jobs are in shortage of programmers and engineers. Many have taken additional tasks and job roles that have not given them a pay raise or placed them in the appropriate pay grade. They’ve worked longer hours and made themselves available to their jobs 24/7.

I graduated in mechanical engineering in 2011 and unable to get a job in sector only get call this year about temp job when move out Dallas. Software engineers for dot com companies are most over paid engineers in the industry because too many companies in bad spots that cause of living is too high. also not too hard to make code for a web page. It much harder to write code to automate a factory.

You will see someone who just graduated with a bachelors who gets into say Meta or Google, start off with 6 figures. And what do they do? they write super basic CRUD APIs or super simple web pages for internal use. Sometimes other super simple tasks that high level people dont wanna touch cause its a waste of time for them.

one reason California (multiple tech hubs) has so much homelessness. Bay area has such high property value that people that dont work in tech cant live there. LA same thing. San Diego is becoming more and more like that which makes me sad as that is my hometown.
I do HVAC in Phoenix and they do not pay enough, PHX got hit with the highest inflation in the country by FAR!! Everything’s going up except pay! I should be making 30% more than I do now with the way our economy is down here especially with how crucial us hvac people are in the valley! Being in a 145 degree attic for 4 hours straight is hell, not everyone is built for it. Seen tons of people come and go. It’s all due to wages

When the pandemic hit and all these people were supposedly working from home they give these big companies a lot of insight on what they didn't need these people mostly proved that the company did not need them I'm not blaming them most of them were forced to work from home but I know most people that work from home you will see how to run around town all day long like collecting a paycheck and they proved to the company that their services were not needed why would these companies pay you 20 to $30 an hour to work from home when they can go overseas and pay 3 to $5 an hour if you can work from home you can work from anywhere and you can be replaced with anyone not picking on anyone just a true observation

The poor feel a depression. They are the ones with the least amount of skills. The people with skills have nowhere to market the goods their company sells. The people with property can no longer afford the payments ( my grandfather lost his house and never bought on credit again ). But the people that do well are in the small towns. Their banks stay solvent and life basically goes on as normal. It is the cities that are crippled and the millions in the cities that hurt the most. A depression is nothing to wish for.
