I remember getting used to hearing Dale Sommers when I I started driving 48 States and Canada in 1999 and I got me a satellite radio right away and it was great to be able to hear him and all of the regular callers Hollywood and Brooklyn and I can't remember the others what great memories. That guy kept me going when I was tired. It was great. My Handle was. Modern Day Cowboy
The Truckin' Bozo is gonna be missed by a LOT of over the road drivers all over America. Heck, he already is. Keep him in your prayers...his long haul is almost at it's end. Hugs to you my friend. 700 WLW was fortunate to have had you.
Texasoutlawwoman, believe it or not I met a driver today who has been driving over 20 years that has never heard of the boze or OOIDA. its really sad to know that there are a large number of drivers out here that don't take just a little time to get to know their own industry and all the things available to us like Ooida, Sirius -Xm ,trucking news magazines , papers. Now dale is gone and they have no idea what they have been missing. Now dale is up in truck driver heaven working a new gig e
We truly lost an American trucking radio icon today! I too have never called dale but have shared a few emails back and forth . He will be very missed by all knights of the highway. Shawn O. aka the DAWG
SHO DO MISS BOZO. I KEEP MY XM RAIDO ON HIS CHANNEL. HE HAD AN XM STATION THERE AROUND OCALA FLORIDA. HE HATED HAVING TO GO INTO OCALA. THE TRAFFIC DROVE HIM CRAZY . THE TRAFIC IS BAD THERE I KNOW.
I listened to him 1980 to 1985 driving tractor trailers. God Bless TRUCKIN BOZO
BOZO WAS. AWESOME GOD BLESS U DALE 👍🏻👍🏻
I miss the man so much. He'd come on at midnight and the miles just seem to disappear listening to him. A huge part of my life.
I dearly miss Dale. I spent so many hours listening to his show. No one did it like he did

Good Man!
Sure do miss those days .
radio before, all talk radio
Good old Governor Orr did back down. That boycott cost Indiana a lot of money.

Not everyone is a country music fan, so there was no reason for them to ever listen to him. Also, for many drivers, it's just a job.

We miss hearing his voice! I tune into rhe road dog channel expecting to hear him at 4pm everyday
It's amazing to know that he still had that kind of power. Except for getting the truck driver strike.
All those carts on the wall, my God
They played carted music. That's not unusual.
Only jock I've ever seen who uses a vaporizer. God bless him.
