Just finished this game today, and it's quite good, story and all. I will say, it was really hard to follow in my second language, but I was able to understand everything pretty well. The plot does make a lot of sense and they handled everything really well. It was well executed. Gameplay gets a 10, Music 10, Story 9 (you change the past a lot, and that can be hard to keep up with), Graphics 10.
The fucking irony is he wrote some of the best scenes between Aerith and Cloud in FF7. Also alot of the events like the cross dressing minigame. lolol Now...Jesus. He brought us the evil that is FFXIII.
From what i heard in a different video. They call Aya's sister Eve! Aya's sister was named Maya or Mayu. Eve was the evil cells that was trying to take over and give birth to the ultimate being! So if I am afraid to play it, it seems like it will disappoint those who loved the first game.

I follow the history of PE from the beginning because it has a unique charm that makes it very special. Would have a PSP just to continue with PE and Aya because she deserves more. I hope that more games are made of PE, but more axceclibles for consoles and PC in the future.
bullshit, this game was fucking awesome. I played it first as I didnt know about the Parasite Eve series...after playing this, it made PE 1 and PE 2 an awesome experience...but I will say this, and a lot of people agree...PE 2 killed the fucking series...this isnt really supposed to be in the PE series anyway
SlashNoLongerAFurryRaider I've never played 3rd Birthday and I'll agree. PE 2 was fucking atrocious. The story for PE 2 wasn't bad, but the gameplay/camera was broken as fuck. Horrible camera setup, unresponsive controls, and level capping made the game an absolute bitch to play. I still haven't beaten the final boss after trying to fight it for days. I had to go watch a RUclips video on how to beat it and even then, I still couldn't beat it due to how broken the controls/camera setup was. I don't mind difficult boss fights, but I cannot respect a game's difficulty due to broken game mechanics. Don't get me wrong, I do love and respect PE 2...but I would be remised if I didn't acknowledge how fucking awful it's gameplay was.
Agreed... theres way more games that feel even unfair difficult like megaman, ninja gaiden , syphon filter and souls series but that doesnt make them broken, as someone who finished PE when I was 11 or so..I must say..yeah dude..Git Gud

It's just isn't right, you can say what ever you want, but Parasite Eve was one of the best games on PS1! They should should make a game that is appropriate for this title on at least PC! Excellent story, interesting gameplay with guns and magic, brilliant theme songs and tunes, just too much for one PSP game... Aya deserved more! :)

This game is shocking.... Bad plot, dire villains, frustrating controls, illogical difficulty spasms, boring levels, shit voice acting At least the music was solid
And the music is mostly remakes of the ps1 soundtrack ;-; I'm so dissapointed they moved from the perfect expansion of the novel in the 2nd game, and then this happened to the 3rd one. It was a horrible slippery slope. Aya went from a decent character, to way too edgy, and then this. :(
@LilithAmadea I agree! Everything the scientist char say was like from an interesting clip from the Discovery Channel or something. Intellegence and interest piqueing indeed! I especially liked the one were that Japanese scientist was talking about how theoretically the mitochondria have the ability to make a human being spontaneously combust (from PE 1) very interesting. ^_^
For the guys that are saying negative thoughts and opinions,what? Think you could do better than the one who created this? I think this is perfect.why? Because sometimes they have to change things to make new ones.you have to understand that by now.
@SorasBF The original price for the PS3 was astronomically ridiculous. You can get one for about three hundred bucks now, and a PSP for about half that. I was suffering from severe faboysm (heh, my favorite games of all time, including PE 1 and 2 came out on the PSX). Both new prices are still quite exorbant for us poorer gamers, but the PS3, even if you don't consider graphics, has a FAR greater Library that it's little cousin. Still, there are some gems on the PSP that make it worth getting.
@PyroKinProductions Thats because this game was an spin of... or something, not even the square enix people know what it is, this game is 0% a Parasite eve, maybe that was the reason because Hideaki Sena didn't give the rights of PE, and without Hironubo, this game would not be good. whether the game apart is not bad, but is not a PE, and Daniel isn't in the second game because Aya is not more in New York, so, she broke contact with her former colleagues
@PyroKinProductions Eve is in it.... Multiple times. Your expectations ruined the game for yourself. I found no problem with it. Atleast there was a third game. If you paid attention to the game you'll know every time Eve(A.k.a Aya) dives and changes the past everyone else's mermories get rewritten. For example when Cray died and Blank was trying to get to him. After Cray disappeared no one but Eve remembers him. Atleast go threw the game a couple times before you complain. Enjoy your day.
@RockigualAnime Maaya Sakamoto did Lightning in FFXIII and Aya in 3rd Birthday in the Japanese version, it can be assumed that Alli Hills might probably do Aya's voice in the English version since she did Lightning's voice. I'd rather have Laura Bailey (Chun Li from Super Street Fighter 4)
I just played Parasite Eve 1 and if I remember correctly. Eve isn't really Aya sister in a way she is, but her real sister was named Maya. who died in a car accident with her mother and had her Kidney transplanted to another girl named Mellisa who then turned to Mitochondria known as eve. I really want to know why they made Eve as Aya's real sister. Is this another Eve?
Explain in EX story(PE1). Mitochondria EVE was in Maya. after she died they take her Kidney to help Mellisa and take her Cornea to help Aya. so Aya and Mellisa had recieves some EVE from Maya, Aya can control it but Mellisa not.

Squaresoft made PE1, PE2, Tobal 2, FFVII wich were best games at the time. But nowadays they can't make a single game that could compete these bestsellers. Not even close. PE2 my favourite game on PS1. And Squaresoft is too greedy to invest in PE3 to make it PS3 or PC game - they make an arcade on psp - wtf?! Do they still hope that FFXIII would be a success? ゲーム性自体は結構楽しめたけどPEである必要はなかった。
ステージはほぼ一本道で不気味さはゼロ、常に銃声が鳴っててPEの暗くて静かだけど日常に恐怖が確かに存在してる感覚や余韻はなし。
鬱シナリオでもいいけど、強制的にシリーズを終わらせるためのただの鬱ゲーになった
もう叶わないだろうけど、大好きなシリーズだからt3bはパラレルワールドってことにして正当な続編が欲しい

the levels were great, the gameplay as well but I wish It respected the old pe games, this went nowhere.
