Best crystal I've ever seen and most likely will ever see, that 3D colour on colour is amazing and frankly a brightness rating of 5 doesn't do it justice, there should be a 5+ or 5++ category because that makes other 5's look positively dull. It's almost too beautiful to cut, it's heirloom quality, from what I've heard about many opal miners and cutters they often save the best pieces for themselves rather than selling them, this guy must need the money now for his mining endeavours or what-have-you. He's obviously got a top claim. Imagine the euphoria of digging that out of the claim, must've been amazing.
You coulda heard him from town when he found it. No hurry to sell, though it would help immensely, it was more me, wanting to film it and it also happens to be for sale.
Hiya Phil, mate! That's one beautiful stone or stones, beautiful colours it's so colourful it's making my mouth water. 🤤 I'm drulling all over my self. 😁 I'm speaking of the first stone, even though they're all so beautiful. I hope you have a awesome blessed day mate. Cheers! Cya! 😺🐟out!
Magnificent stone. Very rare. Words cannot express how amazing it is, really. I haven't watched the full video yet and the answer to my question may be addressed in the video, but what value do you place on those two pieces. It really doesn't get much better than that. Great find, congrats.
Hi Jeff, you mentioned that White dam is hard ground. Is such clean clear colourful Crystal Opal found in soft ground? That first Opal is, and always has been my favourite Opal - Gem quality Crystal. Clear as bottled water, with (rainbow like) colours smashing their way through at every chance. Thankyou for the opportunity to view it.
From what I understand, most fields can produce crystal along with opaque/white, grey, dark/black, although some have a predominant type, ie Lightning ridge for black opal, Coober pedy for white/light opal or Andamooka for matrix opal. I’m not sure on the depth but sure hope I find something half as bright on the new claim. 🤪👍
I'm not sure how anyone would ever lose the addiction, or passion for opal. But if they did, all you'd have to do is show em this video. Wow Epic friggen stones.
Hiya Phil, hey I had to watch your video again, so I was thinking 🤔, if someone would cut that stone, and not follow the potch and cut the stone the same way it broke it looks like it has more colours showing. Just a thought, the first stone I'm speaking of.
This is the problem with nicer pieces, shifting them. If it was a average parcel for $2000 you’d have no problem shifting it. More expensive pieces are a bit difficult. The first stone is the best and most beautiful but I just don’t think an opal buyer will pay that price. Perhaps a museum would, it’s a stunning example. On a side note, the first stones colour is untapped, imagine the colour of a thin slice of it was made into a doublet? Obviously don’t do it, but just imagine it.
It’s not mine but I’d love to clean it up and polish as is, the buyer/cutter can make more of a decision when they buy it, it’s fractional and unnecessary grinding isn’t wanted. The price reflects the stones in and of themselves, it’s just equated to cts. 🤪👍
Wow , thats the sort of stone i would expect to see in the centre of a Royal Crown , Blasting the Diamonds off round the back somewhere lol,
If only l had the money ........ lovely stones
The most beautiful play of colour I have ever seen. Truly amazing!
Imagine being able to pick up all that money off the floor 🤯 you’re so bloody fortunate to live where you do!
Oh my God, I am in love. Never seen such stunning opal crystal before. I will dream of this piece. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, for sure, the outer will come up just as bright, but there is something about the pattern that makes the colour really pop along that break. 🤪👍
Absolutely Stunning!
Wooow that is a great gem.👍😁
just so beautiful.

never underestimate the ability of rich people to overspend on things.
That’s insane and I wonder what all the other big finds looked like from white dam. What field was that found in?
It came from the White dam field just south of Andamooka. 🤪👍
@@theopalmills oh goodness my favorite field
Reminds me of a song, if I had a million dollars, ...id buy some opal.
Nice
the first stone is prob the best crystal i have ever seen , wouldn't cut the big speci thats amazing too
This Opal Junkie couldn't sell it. I'd wear it. That's so incredibly rare.
are these andamook? if so are they getting it near the claim your GONNA GET !
Yes Andamooka, but white dam field, we were out that way but it’s hard ground. 🤪👍
What a stone
Price for rough like that???? After small parcel
I’ll be on the hunt for parcels next week when I get back up to Andamooka 🤪👍
@@theopalmills you putting them on the site?
@@mcspad if I own it, I’ll list it, but sometimes I just put up available parcels on The opal Mills FB page. 🤪👍
What feels like rubber but they Claim its its Opal?
There are synthetic opals on the market, also resin bonded chips, though I’m not sure as to their texture. 🤪👍
Hi...what is the price range...i need nice one
G’day, in the thumbnail on the right is AU$60,000 for the 44ct extra bright crystal, the one on the left is AU$10,000. 🤪👍

Magic, he would do magic. 🤪👍
Really ripped yourself off by using that thumbnail! Nice stone
Why don't you take off the superficial skin then? And clean it up?
