Without a doubt, my favorite Terry Funk moment was when he lost to Brian Lee in ECW. After the pinfall, he sits up, picks up the microphone, the wrong way, and proceeds to say you think you’re so tough and smacking Brian Lee.
One thing I remember from Terry Funk is an interview he gave for the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD, recalling his plans to "make him, make him, make him" if he had the time and opportunity with the promotion (which sadly ran short of both). Goes to show what a generous performer he was.
He also turned down the first One Night Stand because he (understandably) didn't trust WWE to respect ECW and it's true fanbase; he took SUBSTANTIALLY less money (obviously) to work the indie Hardcore Homecoming show two days earlier instead (not wanting/being able to work two violent hardcore stunt matches only days apart at that point in his life). He *always* cared more about the fans and the performance than the money. When WWE proved they COULD/WOULD put on a true ECW-style show in '05, he agreed to work a *violent hardcore match* at the 2006 event...
@@JSI82 AND the fact that he WAS on the Forever Hardcore doc., released to "companion piece"/protest WWE's Rise & Fall DVD. THAT may be the confusion...
Shamrock, Severn and Roman weren't conniving their way out of matches in genius fashion; they were just being totally honest about plans for them, or their discomfort with real world issues...
The Dan Severen one is gold 😂😂😂. He literally told me “try me….. because if you do? I’ll just start beating the shit out of ALL of your talent. How’s that sound?” And I doubt they were keen on firing him either lmao, I love it!!
Show thought feuding with Triple H in *2013* would help his career (which was almost over as far as full-time wrestling went)? His *WWE title match* with Orton at Survivor Series proved that was BS...
#5 With the whole Cody situation is a big showcase that Vince is no longer in charge. Vince would have kept the match regardless. But HHH and the other new powers in control pivoted to what the fans wanted
Tried to figure out who on the roster at the time could have stopped Dan Severn from doing exactly what he wanted in the ring… um, Shamrock… that’s basically it!
What is your source on this? Where was it found? What is the date on it? Is it a fragment of the Book of Revelation (where this tradition comes from) or some other ancient manuscript?
@@nathanshaw9688 A fragment of papyrus 115 was discovered in 2005. It suggests the original number of the beast was 616. As always in this case, it can now be found in a British museum
That one where Cody was about to give up his WrestleMania spot just so that The Rock gets a free pass to the main event was bs. There was the reason why that segment was the most disliked video in WWE history
Favourite Terry Funk story? One night we hosted him at a strip club I was working at, with him in a steel cage match at the club on the following day. I had a line of wrestling fans buy him shots all night. The next day I walked into the dressing room to see him before the event. He looked at me and said "Get away from me! You scare me." We laughed and talked about the very messy night before.
Dwayne Johnson literally said in an interview that it wasn't. Not everything has to be an elaborate work 100% of the time. People are human and let their egos cloud judgment. Props to The Rock for recognizing this and stepping aside.
Yeah I don't entirely buy the #1 entry. Nelson Frazier was Mabel for exactly one match when he came back, and was then abducted by the Ministry and became Viscera. He was brought back to be Viscera. I'm sure Mean Mark was indeed grateful they were on the same team in storyline, though.
Considering that Mabel, once more with feeling, broke the Undertaker's orbital bone in 1995, I don't think it's a stretch that Taker used his power in the locker room to bring him into the ministry. This is the same guy who threatened to beat the shit out of Shawn Michaels if he refused to fight Steve Austin at Mania 14, so he had a lot of leverage backstage.
@stuntboy0372 my point is if he wasn't being brought back to be Viscera, he wasn't gonna be brought back at all. So I seriously doubt there was a moment of "wow, this guy's not safe in the ring, I better make him my teammate" on Taker's part. It just not plausible.
Brian Pillman was so ahead of the curve lmao, what a fucking legend
FACTS.
Yeah rip Brian Pillman 😢
Pillman would have been awesome in Raven's flock and if he was allowed to be his insane gimmick.
Shame that Pillman didn't make it to the Attitude Era.

Mandela effect is in effect! He wasn’t on the DVD. That’s Heyman doing an impression of him. But, yeah, totally Terry to say that sort of thing.

Such a sad end for Brian Pillman. Think what he could have accomplished if he lived.

Honestly, he could've and probably should've been fired two seconds after saying that.
@@refrigeraterjomes He shouldn’t have been hired or taken the job in the first place in my view. He always belonged in Japan!

Yes, he talked about it on CVVs podcast very recently actually

You refuse to lose? Oh well I refuse to pay you.
i would love to see a match against ken shamrock and dan severn but thats just a fantasy
They did have early day UFC fights though
It should be noted that Lawler's charges were dropped due to him intimidating the girls and them refusing to testify, not because he was innocent
Given the rumors I've heard about Shamrock his excuse for not wanting to wrestle Chyna doesn't make sense.

Thinking Cody’s facial expression is what changed WM 41’s main event is hilarious. Fans were gonna shit on the story change no matter what.
