I have never been an engineer. But I would say that it was a very good thing that that many rolls happening in the air instead of more of them happening on the ground, likely saved a heck of a lot of injuries to Preece.
But that final hit on the roof certainly had to rattle him.

Grass does not cause the cars to get airborne, the unmaintained ground underneath it allows more air to get under it! When NASCAR started putting pavement in the critical areas of the race tracks, usually back in the day through all the turns and extending several hundred yards after the turn, to find out a couple years after they started doing it, that the grass itself was not causing cars to flip or get airborne and then tumble. It was the unmaintained earth below it that was the problem

Ryan Preece hits Kyle Larson so hard at Talladega they made changes to the car. This car will definitely be going back to the R&D center and probably result in more changes to the car, beginning with the window net that did not remain in place.
