that sand makes your 400 seam like a 200, old mate on the big 2 banger got a big advantage other than the fuel consumption. but i pity old mate on the ktm. he would be working his ass off keeping it moving, it would be fun on rm 250 or cr, kx ktm 300 or even better 500 2 banger but range might be of a hassle
@@rumpelstiltskin6252 not really mate, it does fine for most of it. It’s probably more the rider than anything. It has more in it, I’m just cruising for most. The lighter 2 banger would have been nice, but the 690 weighs similar to my DRZ and has a lot more power. Great bike for the sand.
the 400 is at less than half throttle he could go wide open and keep changing gears until he's topped out in 5th if he wanted to. the 690 has the most power he just needs the confidence to ride it harder.
