Donnington Valley is associated with a hotel but is a golf course in its own right. It's a parkland course with some great holes with some big undulations on the back 9.
Sam, Ben and I manage to get out for one last time before lockdown 2.0 kicked in. We decided to play dog which is a 3 player version of matchplay

Ooh lovely. It's a decent track. Has a cracking finish. I've been meaning to play it for ages. Donnington grove next door is good too
One of the best feelings in the world is watching a mate play a great shot into the wrong green. it's almost as good as someone playing a brilliant one straight down the middle only to see the ball careering off at a right angle after hitting one of those black and white marker poles.

@@RealgolfWD Well, I once had a Kit Kat that was solid chocolate. Obviously that's definitively the best feeling in the world, against which all others have to be judged, but seeing a mate feck up at golf gets close.

@@RealgolfWD Now, on the face of it that makes sense, but for me, it's a small blow for the little man against capitalistic, monolithic multinationals...or summfink. Anyway, when did Nestles become Nestlay? And don't get me started on the Marathon to Snickers outrage or cheese and onion crisps coming in a blue bag.

Remember the course well . Looks a wee bit chilly but the weather was gorgeous that day . Golf looks good all playing well and a very tight game .

At last a course I've played on albeit in very warmer conditions. Should be another good watch 😉
Ah good... Nice when you know all the holes and can compare to how u played it. The finish is a great stretch of holes
