- All Flashbacks from Mass Effect 3 : Extended cut. I also added Kasumi, Zaeed and Kelly's ones since they were missing, I hope they are good enough.

The ending would be better if they showed all these, no matter what. Like Shepard thinking of all his friends and why is he/she making the ultimate sacrifice
Nah that's making too much sense for EA. If anything they would make it to where you need to buy microtransactions for each character to see a flashback of them. Starting at 5.99 per flashback 🤦🏿♂️
What sacrifice? If you pick destroy Shepard lives. You can see him taking a breath and it was officially confirmed by BioWare.

Still, no flashback with Zaeed in ME3. He's my favorite character in the games, and sadly has not a lot of content to display compared to the others.
Even named my cat after him since I got him a few weeks after Robin Sachs' death. I shall remember him.

What I love about Javik's flashback is how you see the slightest twitch of a smile on his face.
I think there should be a flashback of every desicion you made in the whole trilogy. Like when Shepards' life flashes before his eyes...
Would be awkward if you made a full renegade run and you mostly see all the bad stuff you have done or maybe they have turned into regrets by then.

I got flashback of Anderson, Thane and Liara who I romanced. Then during Hackett's speech (destroy ending) i got flashback of EDI, Legion and Mordin.
Some may disagree but I believe the Illusive man belongs here too.
He may have been a reaper tool in his last appearance but in ME2 I did coincided him a friend and most blue conversation options in me3 with him have Shep trying to get him back to the good side.

I never saw him as a villain. Even in the end I tried to convince him to help me

These are all the people he fought so strongly to protect. They were everything to him. He died for them. And when you have someone like Tali, Garrus, Liara, EDI, Joker, and many others to die for... dying to save them isn't so bad after all.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that all of these people's flashbacks should've been there, not just two or three random people? It would make everything so much sadder and more dramatic.
I agree sort of a final goodbye to the characters we loved so much.

Yes, would have been way better. It doesn't make sense that someone like Garrus, Liara, Kaidan or Wrex would be left out of his final thoughts.
I became sad when I seen Kasumi. I remember before going to the conduit I had talked to her over hologram, she said something about taking her out for drinks and that makes me more sad because I wanted her to be my Shepards romance.
Same. Wasted potential. They could do: ask her to destroy graybox - romance. Let her keep it - no romance.

My Shepard saw Anderson, Mordin, and Thane as she died. Was hard enough holding back the tears after seeing Mordin but seeing Thane just ruined me😭

I stayed up late last night to finish this game for the first time. I spent the last 4 years playing this series. I cannot believe how hard it hit me when it was all over. I watch this video and I can feel my eyes burning. I do not want it to be over. The scene where Liara ( Shepard's true love) puts Shepard's name on the memorial wall and then hugs EDI. EDI then says, "Because of him. I am alive, and I am not alone." ..whew...
An end, once and for all. Goodbye mass effect. You filled my childhood with such a wonderful memories. Shepard signing out.

Out of all the ups and downs of this emotional roller coaster, what choked me up the most was when Urdnot Bakara calls you a friend.
OMG Liara's flashback its just TOOOO MUCH for me :'(
I have only played ME recently (with EC), and wow, what a masterpiece of gaming right there, when I decided to blow the reapers to hell and started seeing the flashbacks... man first anderson, I was like "Oh no", then Thane "No hold back the tears" lastly my LI Tali, I was like fuck it let the tears go, then I saw shepard live and was overwhelmed with happiness, knowing him and Tali would be together on Rannoch :')
Yeah, but you also killed EDI and all the Geth(If you saved them before like I did, that is), which means killing of an entire race that just recently got intelligence and consciousness, every unit was able to think for itself. You made Legion's sacrifice be in vain.
Think about it, is it worth killing those who have fought by your side in the last battle, and also killing EDI, who is like the best friend of entire Normandy's crew, just for the sake of one man's happiness? Sometimes, heroes just have to sacrifice themselves to save others.
But leaving Tali to never return was really sad.

+Lonely Warrior But EDI and the geth can probably be reactivated later. Personally, I think that while the control ending is the "best ending" in terms of peace in the galaxy, its too risky and could be corrupted. Imagine if someone like the Illusive Man managed to somehow corrupt or take control of the Shepard AI and restart the Reaper War. As for synthesis, its the most logical one to go for, but emotionally its kinda evil cause you 're forcing every life form in the galaxy to lose their identity and become some weird organic-robot hybrid things. So really, the destroy ending is the best one in my opinion xD
I always like to imagined Tali being drunk when Shepard goes to meet her and her thinking it's an illusion. Only to her surprise she wakes up with Shepard right beside her

Damn.. such amazing characters. Biwoare really deserve all the credit they can get for all these unforgettable #-dimensional characters I have had the pleasure of going through all three games with.

The best way to get other the Mass Effect Blues, Play 1 through 3....Then play it over again....Then again...Only to realize The Mass Effect Blues is Terminal. Such a great game series.
this was a beautiful scene and the creativity of adding a flashback of the crew as sheppard walks down the path was amazaing and made it so much more emotional and a sad moment. bravo well done I still have tears

7 years onward and I still never hated ME3’s ending as much as everyone else did. While it certainly wasn’t the send off we wanted I believe BioWare did a decent job with the extended cut to at least attempt to make things better. Although I still hate the “PICK A COLOR BUT ITS BASICALLY THE SAME LOL” endings, everything else was done relatively well and to this day the ending still gets me.
Well the extended endings do make ah better impacted infact if this was the original ending with en epic boss fight on elusiv man with new turns and twists from that yeah endings on m1 versjon where mutch more impacted As fuck

Edit: I saw another comment say the ending should show all of these, I've never agreed with anything more in my life.

First game that ever made me cry and it probably will be the last. The Mass Effect series broke boundaries and evolved into pure art. Best video games series I have ever played.

When i first saw these flashbacks when i first finished the game i was choking up :'( combined with the music it really gets to you. Ashley's, Edi's and Anderson's got me the most :(

Even though it was just a "video game" they say. Love, liked, moved on, or still hate on with the endings, no matter what those 100+ hours we played in ME1 to ME3, made us laugh and emotions. We will never forgot the journey that bought us into this. The characters which to be honest doesn't even felt like characters, they all felt like if they were all right there with you in person. Sometime we wished the story never ended and it goes on and just for that.. It's been a hell of a ride...

This affected me on an emotional level to a degree I was not expecting.
The ones I saw in my playthrough-flashbacks were:
Anderson, Legion, Thane, Mordin and Kaidan because he was my Msheps romance.. Why the heck didn't I get Ashley? I mean, I didn't really like her, but she died a heroine on Virmire anyway!

Zaeed doesn’t have a flashback in ME3 even if dies I’ve all of them and he and kasumi don’t have it’s ashame but true

Only flashbacks I got were of Kaidan (Virmire), Mordin (Sacrificed himself for greater good), Thane (Old, ill and sacrificed himself for greater good) and Legion (Sacrificed itself for greater good). This, this is dedication to protect all the characters

When on the crucible, i was not thinking on the entire galaxy, as that is a shallow, faceless concept. I was thinking about the characters that i grew to like and care, about how some died in order to make the galaxy a better place, about how some just try to get their life together, about how some are trying to do the right thing. I was at first tempted to do the reject ending, as that feels the right ending for a full paragon shepard, the way where he doesn´t compromise who he is despite the stakes, the way where he doesnt condemn a whole race to extinction. But then i remembered the characters i didn´t wanted to see suffer, the characters who believed in shepard doing the right thing for all of them, to set them free for the nightmare and grant them a future.
That was perhaps the first and only time my paragon shepard did a renegade thing, because that choice was greater than a shallow morale ground.
