Quick note on the Idealist's Handmirror, you can also use it to change the growth types of a unit, this is including Alain himself. So if you wanted different growths then "all rounder" for example, you could use it to change Alain's growth types.
Interesting. The acrobat shoes you could equip with a carnelion pendant and the lyrical wand on a cleric which would give them a total of 4 AP, so they could active heal TWICE, getting some good healing out and giving out 2 AP to others. I could see that being really good.
Reheal should be renamed. It missleads. It is actually pretty broken. She casts it as the very first ability in battle and makes it so an entire row heals for a really decent amount throughout the fight. It is a hot basically. Makes it so you can have a full front row of aggressive fighters. I use it in Sharon in the back with Bruno and two housecarls. Absolutely obliterates shit.
Also, another thing to note is that the heal occurs as they take an action a la status effects. Seems to work better with lower initiative classes so they can actually heal after they take damage.
French man here, coming to the rescue, it's "ko-kee-yage" (age pronounced with a French A like in facade, triage etc...) double L makes a Y sound in French. I know JRPGs like to inject French in their game but this one is off the chart ... like most places and hired units have French names, it's a bit disturbing as there isn't a clear French inspired setting in the game. The game is also ruining the name Alain for me but oh well, not the first time a JRPG does that haha Thanks for the video, it's useful for planning builds till release day
Do they actually respawn? I've never once picked up a divine shard that I already collected. You can get them in mining minigame but I think that's way too slow of a method to get all the items in time before the demo expires since time does tick down while you're playing it.
@@ShawFujikawa I have unrestricted time limit on the demo, the respawn time seems to be pretty long (might be battles). Mining is just a great for money, the divine shards are just icing.
@@joannaark Resources come back slowly, and it has to do with the day and night cycle, but I've seen nothing connecting shards to it. Being that you're playing on some kind of custom firmware that you've edited the game with, thus no time limit. you may have messed with the day and night cycle without knowing it. So, they could come back but it takes literal ages, or you could have just messed up the game's understanding of time.
Consider Familiar's Choker as an item for a Shaman in a team with a mage or witch, as the Shaman both has no attacks that deal damage, high mag and nothing that scales with mag in general.
Shaman+witch/wizard really seems like you’d have to have 4 in a party to make it work. You just don’t have enough attacks with the needing a good frontline and all because both classes are pretty frail
@ultimaterecoil1136 oh, certainly I'm talking about parties of 4+ units, that's the limit we hit in the demo after all. Personally my frontline almost always just consists of a singular character now during the demo anyways, pick a self-healer like Alain and I'm sure the shaman will help with the mitigation to keep him going. Just my theorycrafting with the item on a unit that don't hurt from using it. Shamans cause this issue in basically all teams they go in right now, this way it gives some indirect damage to the party.
It would probably be great early on but I find Josef's physical attack and defense starts to fall off a lot later on even in the demo, he doesn't even kill infantry reliably beyond a certain point. It's hard to find many other good users of it though, I kinda like it on Clive as a frontliner though you probably can't use Cavalry Call if you do that so you need some other damage dealer in the squad, and he only gets 1 accessory slot which sucks too. Ochlys might be another fun one to use it on.
@@ShawFujikawa I'm not talking just damagewise, I'm talking about utility as well. He's the only one that generates PP with kills and even if he doesn't his high guard rates gurantees AP, which means more heals or attacks. Also Ochlys's hp and defense is much lower than Joseph that she'll die even before using the extra AP. Not to mention she's a dodge tank and Citidel's sabatons only activate when you guard an attack.
@@oh4835 But damage is the entire point because Josef needs to actually KILL things to get PP back which he stops doing reliably a couple of hours into the demo. He can't use Slice and Magick Attack at the same time so if he comes up against anything bulky he's not getting anything out of it. You may as well just use Radiant Knight because Hache is way more consistent.
Your town name pronunciation was... interesting. I bet there's a French person turning in their sleep somewhere lmao. Also it's 100% pronounced Och-LYS, Sharon says her name multiple times even in gameplay!
The holy knight’s shield isn’t really doing chip healing when it’s on a knight. A knight can actively act 5 times a turn at times ( standby counts as an active skill for its purposes) and you often want the knight standing by since you want the other units in its squad to setup the enemies on low enough hp so it can kill everything at once and this can make them appreciatively solid at tanking. With the accessory that has the same heal when acting passive you can straight up full heal even from death’s door.
I equip Chloe with the Familiar Chocker and an item to boost PP +1. Then put both Auch and Yahna on the squad withHodrick for protection. This squad can take on the strongest of armored squads.
So now I've tested it with Holdrick and THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME. Turns him into an of battle clean up guy. I put an unwavering spear on him and had him target the lowest HP for end of battle cleanup. Lower level hoplites don't use their PP much when they are alone in the front row unless the enemy has a ranged attack (flyer's attacks count as ranged) so the Sabatons are nice way of pretty much guaranteeing they'll use their PP but at the same time cover 1 ally if the back row is attacked before them.
Hmm Wall could be really good if you want to have a mitigation tank that eats actual hits to trigger a sellsword's counterattack which IS damage... wondering if this could even be paired with the sabatons so that you're converting your blocks into AP for more walls? Might not make sense idk. For tailwind cape - I think it's actually pretty reasonable to get enough divine shards for the angel feather that boost the initiative of a whole row... but this could be a good interim solution for the same problem. You in fact CAN get the reins, catear hood and in fact you can get enough PP to use it on a cleric with the cane and lapis pendant. I'm trying to think of a good use case for thief mantle where it would be better than other things and I honestly can't come up with one. I pronounce it "Ah-klees" I'm shocked you don't value the handmirror that lets you change the growths for characters with unique classes that can't be hired as mercs while ALSO making your units look cooler. The cost is high right now but maybe it seems more reasonable as the game progresses and your income increases.
Probably it's fine in the base game with no time limit and infinite money from mining, but it's harder to justify in the time-gated demo. The bigger issue is there's only 1 in stock here so you can't fix everyone who needs it (which is a lot of characters).
Am I wrong that the combat forecast is 100% accurate for the current rng seed? What is the point of rng when this makes it obvious what the correct next move is?
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Kind of ruins the risk and reward/ decision making to me. I want to like this game but it seems way too easy. Hope they add a maddening difficulty type dlc.
Both types of heals exists. The cleric's skills are based on magic attack. while others like item skills or the Solider's First Aid or Alain's Lean Edge heal a percent.
If you use them for procs that do not rely on magic it could be good like row damage reduction or damage boosting etc. Gaining an AP could be huge for giving 2 AP to an ally via the one item if the Cleric can hit 4 total
Imagine wasting hours & hours of your time on worthless demo videos, when a lot of the games data can (and most likely will) change & be adjusted between the demo & full release.

Since Albion is the island to the top left in the middle of the ocean, that's pretty clearly Britain. Which makes Cornia France.

Both types of heals exists. The cleric's skills are based on magic attack. while others like item skills or the Solider's First Aid or Alain's Lean Edge heal a percent.
