I like running it in the front, with a sellsword and/or swordfighter in the front row as well and with 1 support behind it. Makes optimal use of the row heal and with a runic sword it's also not that weak to armored units. Works pretty well.
I do love this as a supporting class for a beefy physical tank like Hodrick at the front, together they make for great coverage for two damage dealers like a Carnelian Pendant Griffin or Clive, or a damage carry plus a Witch/some other buffer unit. Hache only needing to hit to proc makes it so much more consistent than say Josef’s Slice and it lets you splurge on strong passives like the Angel Plume or Lifeshare while still being able to block magic attacks.
For some weird reason, the game prioritizes conditions right to left, not left to right. So if you want her to Magic Attack the armored unit with the lowest HP you need to switch them. The way you have it, it will only hit an armored if that unit also has the lowest HP which is generally not gonna happen. You can test this pretty easily to confirm for yourself so you dont take the word from some random guy on the internet. Make a test battle in a fort with a hoplite and mage in the front line and your Monica alone against them. Watch who she hits. Also when you set the group heal, that second slot ability will never trigger based on your first set of rules will always be applicable (some enemy will always have the lowest HP). Set it to like heal if someone is under 25% or something and put it first.
Absolutely incredible support unit, pairs super well when flanked by two cavs at level 15+ since Cav Call stacks and her class's initiative is slightly behind the standard Knight's. The shield you get in her map rewards is super interesting too, I threw Hodrick in front with the Lifeline triggered if/when he falls below 50%, with her crazy high base HP that's a full heal for him, then a single row heal brings her back up to full alongside negating any damage Clive or Adel took from stray assists. And let me not forget to mention how OP negating two magick attacks on Hodrick is with a lapis pendant equipped. Easy A+ tier, will only get better with time.
I use this class as a support class mostly it is great with a hoplite and sellsword for creating just an unbending meat grinder of a unit that can hold any point you want.
just so you know brother, you don't need to disable skills. the way the tactics work is they go by the priority you set (the number off to the side), you would want to put your most niche skill tactic on top, but put heavy restrictions on it. So that if the requirements to activate that skill isn't met, they'll do the next skill on the priority list. for example: 1 : Magic Attack : - Condition 1: If Armor Units Present. - Condition 2: Prioritize Armor Units If Armors are present, they'll prioritize the attack on armors, otherwise it'll be random targets. You can supplement this further by putting magic attack again in priority 2 and adding different conditions: 2 : Magic Attack - Condition 1: If no Armor Present - Condition 2: Lowest HP And if you don't want to use Magic attack against non armors, you can change it to let's say Hache attack instead. And then on the bottom priority: 3 : Heal Row - Hp Below < 75% (or whatever threshold, but don't do lowest HP%) That way they won't heal anyone unless they are below the stated threshold, since if you put lowest hp %, they'll prioritize healing, even if its just 1% below 100%. This way you don't have to micromanage turning the skill on and off.
There was a mercenary dude in the trailer that looked pretty badass. I wonder if he's a male sell sword or another class. He looked like Guts from Berserk and I'd be hyped if we could recruit him.
Pretty sure it is the generic male sellsword. At least i saw someone with your description on the image explaining the Sellsword units once you recruit Berenice.
And finally the anti magic unite, still usefull, still good with 2× damage to infantry, it might be decent at first but im sure this unite would be on A tier
Seems to be at least A tier IMO: -300 mobility -Good leader effect -Can magic tank any unit 2-3 times a battle -Can deal decent damage on runic/vs infantry with physical -Gets cav damage boost from knights -Big mag def/good health -Can also run physical weapons well -Row heal can AOE heal as needed
I've been trying to get the tailwind cape to work it is suppose to give initiative to an ally at the start of battle though it does not proc for me anyone else having this issue or is it bugged?
It defaults to FRONT ROW ONLY, and also will only activated if there are no other LIMITED At the Start of battle triggers. War cry can take its place, sword fighter PP attacks can as well. You can remove the front only condition. It also seems to only really affect the first unit who attacks on your team. Not exactly sure why this is a good item now that I think about it.
You were right warcry was what caused the tailwind cape to not proc. I removed the item and my spearwoman buffed the caster. So I guess if you really don't want to waste a slot on an initiative increasing item you can use Tailwind and waste a slot and a pp... yeah this item sucks.
I don`t run Radiant Knight yet. Since i am not skipping the fight animations i only manage to get to the chapter where you recruit Adel before the demo time runs out.^^
I don't think she is worth it atm. Reactive class at the end of the demo when active classes are stronger (active as in high init killers/stun/freezers)
I never get to experiment with her all that much because I only ever have like 10 min left in the demo after beating her map. I had her in the front with my other dps and a Shaman in the back. It didn’t preform the best but I liked it.
You can always just switch to Story difficulty to make things faster. Otherwise if you abuse the catapult XP from the second Auxiliary map you can power level a group up to like level 10 almost immediately and then they’re good enough to take on Monica’s map right away. If you get a Gryphon or Ochlys early you can fly them straight over to her and farm her reinforcement wave for massive amounts of XP too with XP boosters and a Liquid Fortune and then they’re easily good enough to demolish the entire rest of the demo on Story mode. Be sure to bring along Travis so you can Plunder everything in sight for loads of gold too.
FYI if you want the divine shard top available items you unfortunately need to tell Monica to stay home - then you get 30 shards... Radiant knight doesn't seem super good, maybe paired with something magic weak like a hoplite to cover the weaknesses... and then two units who are set up to counter, like a warrior with counter belt and a sellsword? :\ I guess she seems a little better than a fighter, and I like to waste a slot on a fighter to protect flyers. It's just that protecting a magic weak hoplite doesn't have the same damage output as protecting a flyer. Maybe the use cases will shift with new skills/classes available after the demo. I'm really hoping for a cav assist unit... cav units are just so much better than everything else, the mobility and the short rest time is so nuts especially if you buy a bunch of silver hourglasses and then you can really just steamroll with basically one unit. I'm working with alternating strike teams and a severely underlevelled defense team, but one of the strike units is a flyer so it's falling behind fast just because I can't keep slowing down my play to wait for them constantly... even with hastened movement it's not as good as a cav
Ok so I tried my idea and it absolutely sucked... I put Alear(lol) on frontline with Wall shield and counter belt with the idea that radiant knight would cover his magic weakness + sellsword in back to also counterattack and in my head this would be a lot of counterattacking without downside. The problem is that they just run out of AP/PP straight away so it isn't enough attacks to be worth it... not currently enough items to boost sellsword's PP and Alain is splitting his items between something that costs AP and PP so that really just leaves you 1 slot to get more of either... and in all of this you aren't really doing anything to boost damage. Maybe there is something with this idea but not with current skills and equipment.
I don't think so, their stat lines are similar but their kits are totally different. Josef's Slice only gets PP on kill, not on hit, and his Heal is single target. If promoting a radiant knight changes their attacks into Josefs then you're making a worse unit. Unless another unpromoted cav comes along I'm starting to think that Josef has a unique class like Alain and Scarlett.
@@Valkyon230 Well there are two other un-promoted cav namely knight(Clive's class) and the dark knight(temporarily name as its name is unofficial, you only see him once on map but the only battle appearance is in Atlus short) and their promotion is a far cry in term of similarities.
