I absolutely love all of these simple Winter/Christmas DIYs!! The bells from placemats are great {even though I just donated several; placemats that would've been perfect for that}. I'm definitely gonna try the balloon ornament idea. Thanks for the inspiration you give us each week. My son spent the weekend with me for my birthday {it is actually today} & he built three 6-cube shelves that cover a wall in my living room, I finally have a place to display a garland now I just have to find one that I like!!
I ABSOLUTELY love the "Ballon Covered Ornament" idea! That's definitely one of the best ideas I've seen in quite a while 😊 Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Que de très bonnes idées dans cette vidéo 🙆🤗😄👍👏et ma préférée est celle des ballons autour d'une boule de Noël 🫶😍👌 et je pense que je vais l'essayer, merci beaucoup
YAY Wednesday! Hi Tasha ❤ I cqnt wait to see the new floors ! Those baby pinecones are just the cutest . I love North prints too , so many options & so cost effective. The 2 you chose are beautiful ❤️ always a pleasure friend!
Hi our beautiful Tasha. I want our Christmas decor to be completely different this year and you gave us so many ideas. I have thousands of baby pine cones…I think from a hemlock tree near our patio. I love that idea . I love the sock idea for candles…you know how it is there is always one missing sock anyhow. Tasha , you and your husband doing the floors yourself might be a job, but you will be proud of yourselves. When we moved here we had hardwoods but they had seen better days , plus they were covered with ugly nasty carpet. Whoever out the carpet down used thousands of nails and there were stains, but used a professional sander and they looked nice. I cannot wait to see yours. I found more grapevines , so my family members might get new Christmas wreaths this year. We all have agreed to cut down on gifts except for the kids in the family. I cannot wait to see more ideas. Oh love the pictures you picked out. Take care ❤❤❤
😮 How fortunate to have a Hemlock nearby!! I would collect so many 😅 Too bad your wood floors were not in great shape at first. But glad you could sand and salvage them. Our home has a few patches of hardwood but every is mismatched with vinyl and carpet thrown in (no wood underneath) so we decided to start fresh. We're getting there but we're tired!
I grabbed some tiny pine cones at our cottage and was unsure how I wanted to utilize them. Glue to twine for garland? Maybe. But I love your idea to glue to twigs!
Wow you’re busy with the floors. Enjoyed your ideas. The little pinecones are cute. I still have a bunch of regular ones from last year. I won a winter print on another channel. Looking forward to framing it. I’m ready to put fall away and start decorating for Christmas! Take care.
Thank you so much Tasha! I love your creativity and have attempted a few of your ideas since finding you a short time ago. It has been years since I have had this much fun crafting! Thanks again ❣
I love the baby pine cone garland and I’m going to try it!!! Yours looked so good! Especially with your pine cone candle stick! I love it when you got it and I loved the wreath in your other video if I didn’t tell you!! I think it was definitely worth the money! It is my style. I’m more rustic and more traditional type style than you but I also like your ideas they always go with my taste too lol!
I love the ideas of balloons on the ornaments..such a neat idea but I have already brought paint. I love the cozie for the candles, I could actually do this cause I have old socks, too. Lol And the pinecone stems are so cute. All of the DIYS were so neat and handy for ones like me on a budget..trying to make things festive. Great video. ❤😊
I am lucky enough to be able to forage the tiny pine cones. One year my husband and I dyed miniature woven baskets red, then tied a green bow to the handle and filled them with the tiny pine cones. We did enough to cover our entire Christmas tree. Then added white lights and a red bead garland. One of my favorite trees ever.
Hi Tasha. I just recently found your station, and I'm enjoying and binging your videos. I have checked out North Prints and CVS options for printing them out. I'd like to print some of North Prints' botanical prints on paper (not photo paper). Is that an option at CVS? I think you have mentioned having digital copies of botanicals/art work printed on a thick, high-quality paper (perhaps linen)? I'm wondering how/where to have that done. Thanks for sharing your projects and tips with us.
At CVS it will just be photo paper, although if it's the finish you're worried about, you can select a matte finish instead of gloss, so it's more like a poster than a photo. If you're new to the channel you probably haven't seen it yet, but I usually print mine in gloss just because that way I don't have to wait (my local store can only do gloss) and then I take matte Mod Podge and go over any images I want to be matte instead of glossy. I follow the strokes if it's a painting and it makes it look like a real painting once it's dried :) But unfortunately no they don't have linen options at CVS. You You can of course always print your Etsy images on your home printer if you have one, on whatever grade of paper you'd like--and of course only up to a certain size.
Be careful burning the candle they will probably burn hotter than normal . Burn them on a dinner plate or something with lots of room . I make candles mostly pillars but I also make container candles too . I’ve taken a break from it but I’m going to start back in a few weeks I’ve got a good amount of stock but I’ve been focusing on room spray’s for Christmas gifts
Could you pls go into more detail about exactly how to put together the prints from Etsy? Ie how to print them at CVS? How to get the mat with the print? You skipped those details? Sorry I am new to this!:)
Sure! After you purchase the desired images from Etsy, go to www.cvs.com/photo/prints and select "prints + enlargements." Follow the prompts there to upload your new images and have them printed. There is a dropdown arrow that will let you select larger sizes than 8x10, and they call that "poster" sizes. You can have them printed on glossy or matte paper, and depending on your local store's options, you can either pick them up in person from the location of your choice, or have them shipped to you. All you will get from CVS is the print itself, not any matting. In the footage I showed, I had put my prints into frames I already had--the smaller one with matting and the larger one without. I wrapped the existing matting on the left smaller one I showed with linen fabric, and you can see how I did that in this video: ruclips.net/video/tW2wP6dmZNc/видео.html OR you can make your own matting out of just a piece of posterboard from the Dollar store, shown in this video: ruclips.net/video/4CaslqiSpxU/видео.html. I hope this helps! Happy decorating!
I will help you here if I can! There are many shops that sell these on Etsy. But first I'd start at this shop, Northprints because they are likely to have choices you'd like all together: www.etsy.com/shop/NorthPrints?ref=shop-header-name&listing_id=883542959&from_page=listing§ion_id=31179055 1. If you click this link above it will take you straight to their "winter" prints category. 2. Add whatever images to your cart that you want. Whenever you click on one, it always opens it in a new tab, so go back to your first tab to keep shopping and adding prints to your cart. (Alternatively, the links directly to the ones I showed are in my description box.) 3. When done, click on your shopping cart at the top right to make the purchase and then you can download them instantly by going to the top right to "your account" (the one right next to your shopping cart icon), and then "purchases". Follow the prompts to download the files you've purchased, or you can download them through the link in an email you'll get. You can download them at the sizes you plan to have printed which is convenient, ie: 8x10, 11x14, etc. 4. Then you can have them printed at CVS, Walmart, etc. You will need to be aware of where you're saving them, to your phone or computer so that you can upload them to be printed. If you're unfamiliar with how to do this they can probably guide you through it in the stores!
Hello Tasha, my fellow NCarolinian😊 YTber, Andrea @Pine and Prospect Home, has beautiful and free watercolor prints that you are able to download.. She is a talented artist and is so generous to offer her art at no charge seasonally. Did you know that the 'baby pinecones' are hemlock cones? Even though these trees have suffered from the wooly adelgid there are trees in our state where one is able to glean nature's bounty by picking these tiny cones from the ground. Maybe you are aware of a tree for harvesting these tiny cuties thus saving $10. Happy decorating! Love your ideas and creativity❤
That is so nice of her, I will have to check it out. Thanks for sharing! And no, I had no idea of their proper name, that's good to know! I don't remember seeing these anywhere close by but I wish I did know of a tree I could gather from. Thank you for watching!
I love the baby pinecones and the candle cozies! I hope everyone is feeling better!

If you know someone with a Hemlock tree who might let you take some of the cones, the pinecones they produce are adorably tiny!
Beautiful! A few years ago kirklands had some baby pine cones that were similar to the ones you showed. I haven’t been in Kirkland for a while
Really great ideas. Hard to pick a favorite, but probably your mini pine cone stems.

@@TashaatHome Thanks Tasha. Very helpful information!
Any suggestion when to flair out the widest part of the placement/bell to look more like bells?

Lovely idea, I live in the sticks so nowhere near to get Etsy prints 😢
Aww...but you can have them shipped to you! Both Walmart and CVS do this. I pick mine up in person because I'm impatient but they do ship :)

Do they ship over the pond to us Limeys lol!? 😘
