Merry Belated Christmas Melissa, I am a Pastor's daughter and i have always had simple decor and always will. I loved this video of your's and i hope to buy a small home in an okder part of town next summer. My Mom passed away a couple years ago this was the 3rd Christmas withiut her. I was hoping to buy out my brother and sister to stay residing in her home which eoukd have been the perfect home for me. 3 of my wishes my Mom's house akready had. A small closed in porch for my wiodworking and crafting in tge summer, a gas stove which i prefer tor making my breads and muffins from scratch and my soups and enough yard for a small veggie garden which i had already cultivated the last couple years of living with her. But, i was not given tge opportunity to buy it and for now I am renting in a small village built for tte WW2 soldiers to come home to. I have the vintage black/white tile floor in my bathroom. I found a shower curtain in the same black and white check fabric with a large wide ruffle in the top. I gently cut off tge ruffle and made it into a valance for the bathroom window. I have been sewing since I was 5 and i have been beading since I was 9. When i move I hope to get a cat hopefully a younger adult cat. I grew up with Simiese cats and 2 black cats. Your cat looks so sweet. Right now on top of my refrigerator i have one if my Mom's copper jello molds i just display. My Mom left ne ger china closet and her harvest table, her living room set and her bedroom set. I need great help with stirafe ideas living in such a small dwelling. I was unabke to get a larger place to live with elevators due to covid so I was blessed to find this. I am within 10 min of my Dad's so I pick him up for church on Sundays. Your video is a breath of fresh air. Just last week a youtuber had the same Trader Joes had the same gingerbread house bags. I loved them but, they no longer have those bags. On ebay someone is selling each bag for $10 and I will do without those. Please excuse the typos. I tried to catch them all. I have carpal tunnel really bad from work right now and it affects my fingers also. Too much in this video to comment on but all WONDERFUL PROS. I hope to see you again, Blessings, Rebekah
😊 I hope you get your house soon ❤ God blessed me with mine 6 years ago love it. I wanted to see if you would try castor oil on your hands to help with carpal tunnel it helped my RA. GOD BLESS
All of these were SO lovely, practical, and thoughtful! That doll bed was absolutely precious. Anyone would be lucky to receive any of these handmade beauties. Thank you for sharing ❤☺️
New subscriber here. Oh my heavens, what a beautiful channel. Loved everything you made with your loving hands. So very impressive, heartfelt and precious The backgrounf music was enchanting just as your home was . Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year. With love from Debbie and Dexter-Dog 🐶🐾 my sweet tiny rescued Chihuahua companion living a quiet crafty life in southern California.May our wonderful world have true PEACE in 2024. .
Wrapping a gift in material is not only beautiful but so thoughtful for a person who loves to sew or craft. The wrapping becomes another gift itself. Everything you wrapped became an art form. Heck, I’m 61 and I wanted to get my dollies out and put them in that basket you transformed so beautifully. We don’t have a Trader Joe’s but now I want a paper bag. My Family also used paper bags for many things, especially wrapping our school books. For our school every year it was required to cover your school books. (I actually had forgotten that till right now). Anyway, all your ideas were so lovely. Thank you ~ Janet 😘
Aw thank you so much, Janet! :-) We used to wrap our school textbooks in paper bags too - and then we would decorate and personalize them. It was fun. Thanks for watching!
I'd like to add another dimension to the material wrapping idea. If you Google waterproofing material to use in a refrigerator, you’ll find a recipe using jojoba oil and beeswax. All you then need to do is sew a hem all around, waterproof it and add a tag saying what it is and that it's reusable for storing food in the fridge! A set of different sized round or rectangle ones are great as a gift too. They work wonderfully for sandwiches to take to !
I could listen to you all day long. You have a peaceful voice that just makes me want to sit and watch, relax and enjoy what you are creating. Thank you.
The copper mold candle os pretty, but might not be the best container because copper conducts heat, so it may scorch the wood surfaces. Perhaps you could make a base underneath to prevent that, maybe? Love your ideas.
I stumbled upon this, my first video of yours! I love your calm style and practical ideas, all of which are pretty, useful, and lovingly made 😍 Thank you and many blessings to you 🎄💝
I love that you don’t feel you have to buy something new to give as a gift. You certainly put a lot of thought and love into each gift and that’s what counts.
Oh Melissa, you're becoming a national treasure by the second! What a lovely, gorgeous, unique, stunning, elegant and frugal video. Your house is a dream, thanks for inviting us to your cozy paradise!
Wow, I couldn’t stop watching, first time watcher. You know what I love about this young woman? She’s so talented, young and she and I are the only ones it seems that don’t have our nails done.
What an absolutely beautiful video. I loved every moment of it including your choice of music. You have a lovely way of combining entertainment with true comfort. This was a balm for the soul that I know I’ll be watching again and again during this season. Thank you! ❤
I was having trouble finding the right words for my comment and then I read yours. Beautifully stated and exactly the sentiment I was thinking. I couldn’t have said it better!!
This is my first time and loved watching you. Brown paper bags are wonderful to use for wrapping. Just wanted to note that when you blow out a candle, put your hand sort of behind the flame and then blow. I learned the hard way when I blew out 3 tall candles ( not doing that ) and the melted wax flew to the wall! Had to scrape it off which led to purple spots which led to having to paint that wall! Disaster. Love your creativity.❤
Many years ago, I made a decision to stop using bows on presents altogether. No one has ever missed them! I make my own gift tags and save every gift bag some one gives us, as well as any tissue paper to reuse. Also, as you get boxes throughout the year, i save the brown paper that things are often padded with, as well as the boxes themselves for use in Christmas and other gift giving. ❤😊❤
Thank you so much for sharing you're beautiful crafts ,they are so lovely ,it's lovely to see just some vintage ideas and they are a lovely personal gift to give ,I live every one of them ,happy Christmas from Ireland ❤️🤗🙏🌲🌲🇨🇮
As a first time viewer, I found this to be a perfect inspirational video. Such a calming and creative way to decorate and a way to budget using your imagination and some great thrift store treasures. Thank you
Dear Melissa I am deeply grateful and privileged to watch your programs. This is my first time here. I am so thrilled of the beauty and dedication of your exquisite amazing work around your home. You have inspired me in different ways. Thankful from all the way from the Caribbean, Ada Cruz
A beautiful and inspiring video. Brought back many memories of my childhood. More folks should get back to this type of gift giving versus the modern day take.
You sparked a wonderful memory for me. My grandmother used to wrap our presents in the comic section from her Sunday newspaper. 🗞️ She was so thrifty and resourceful.
What a lovely video...thank you so much...loved the doll bed...loved everything really...Merry Christmas to you...bless the coming baby...Jesus and yours too!
Your style is the first I have ever seen, like this. It’s beautiful! The class & feminine honor is priceless! I hope to take something from your channel and make it special like you have. And that picture behind your Christmas tree of the Lord’s Prayer is amazing! What a treasure. Love & Blessings from Texas!
That doll basket is just darling! I love all of these ideas. Making things with salt dough is on my list of things to do at some point. Thank you for sharing these, and in such a beautiful way ❤

Hold an ice cube on the wax for a few seconds and it should be easier for remove from a wall, cloth, etc.
@Fancy-p7z Wish I'd known then. Thanks!
