  • 7oz flywheel installation on my new hare scrambles race machine - Husqvarna TC 85.
I needed to calm this motocrosser down and give it some more low end grunt for woods and technical riding. Currently the bike has trouble at low rpm and wants to stall. Hopefully this will do the trick. This is one of many mods that I am doing to this bike to get it race ready. I decided to park my normal size bike - Husqvarna TE 150 - and challenge myself by racing a 2020 TC 85.

Does the tc 85 just need the map switch or a new ECU to switch between two maps?

hi, nice video, is this flywheel help when climbing uphill? does it prevent the bike to wheelie?tnx

Help climbing uphill, yes. Wheelie prevention, sort of. It really helps with engine stall. The additional weight keeps the rotation going in the motor. Before I added it I experienced stall going over obstacles and climbing hills - especially if I got hung up somewhere on the hill. It didn’t want to stay running.

Did it make a noticeable difference

Yes. Difference was very noticeable. Adding the weight stopped the bike from wanting to stall and gave me more grunt down low. It still spools up when I want it to, but it takes the edge off.
