Very nice selection of ways of getting the bushes out ! Really like that ! For the ball joint part you can try knocking on it with a hammer to help it come out. I broke of a ball joint press this way without knocking on it with a hammer.
I am starting a rebuild on my 1990 SL and thank you for this clip if i need to replace those bushes i know where to start. They are a labour of love but worth it. I wonder what we will do when there are only electric cars
Don't I know it! The refurbed control arms I used in this video actually came from a friend who was fixing a post 85 car and bought the wrong ones! If you need a later one, reckon you'll get one from this ebay listing item number 353222911063 Mike

Good advice - thanks for your comments. Next job is to figure out how to undo the engine mounts. Mike

Thank you for your comment. Even electric cars will still need control arms and control arm bushes. Mike
£80 for a new control arm? I wish. 😏Post 85 cars have a slightly different design. You’ll pay at least £400 for one. 😳
Great video though.
