Hi Mike. Trying to learn with your tips and tricks.
For someone that has never worked on his car before, (I repair phones and pcs, tricky sometimes but easier to handle :D ) would you say the ball joint replacement is not a DIY for me?
Looking at all the tools and force you use, I feel like I would not be able to do it.
    Thank you!

Hi - most jobs look scary the first time you attempt them. Imagine if I had to solder a delicate connection on my £1000 iPhone...
Having the right tools helps enormously. If you buy these tools on eBay, you will probably find that you can easily sell them once you have finished the job.
When I look at a mechanic, I think to myself - Is this man (or woman!) better than me...and could I learn to do what they do? The answer is usually yes.
The biggest hurdle to overcome is the fear that you will mess it up. As long as you do not do anything to endanger you life, you should try this job yourself. Mike

Thanks for your comment - sounds good. I didn't know that Rockauto sold the complete upper control arms? Mike
