Nicely done video! I enjoyed seeing the walk around and the basic orientation of the tent.

I had an old Armadillo (Walrus brand) Cascade Condo. I loved it because it has a screen porch much like this tent only there was no way to cover the screen in inclement weather. Unfortunately it died in a bad windstorm. This looks like it would be a pretty close replacement. I used to love that porch. Looks like you've got yourself an awesome tent. Happy camping!

My husband and I just set up our new Big AgnesTensleep 6 this morning in our back yard. It's awesome just as Joe said! Bought for basically the same reason, you can roll up the side of the fly and get all those gorgeous views and sky...and then quickly bring it down if rain should occur. My husband can also easily get his cot in. Great job on the video. Our only problem was the color coded tabs on the footprint were incorrect, so we just flipped it around and had to put black with the yellow, but not really a problem. We used a magic marker on the footprint label/tag to mark the back of the footprint.

If you are worried about tightness of the tent fly, then tension the adjustment straps each corner. I really like the tent also.

Nice review. I have a Big Agnes String ridge 2 for solo, or "cozy" trips with my wife, but we are looking for something bigger for when we (2-4 of us) take the jeep out. Knowing I like the Big Agnes quality, this looks like a good possibility.

I set-up my new Big Agnes Tensleep 6 on my own in 30 minutes during a cold front breeze followed by light rain at the base of Mount Massive. I am going to enjoy this tent for car-camping, particularly for the ceiling height. I suggest setting-up in fair weather. Also, the bent pole is the last one inserted into the rain fly. I inserted it as the third tent frame pole, which refused to span the space and signaled that I was wrong. The clips are colored yellow on the front of the tent and rain fly eliminate confusion.

Do you still have this tent and how has it performed for you? Looking to purchase a new 6 person tent.

Hello there! No I don’t, but I ended up using it about half a dozen times. I was I was quite impressed with it, but it was drafty if it was windy at all. Well-made and sturdy though. I just noticed the other day that they came back out with it at some point. I don’t think you can go wrong with this tent.

Have you used this tent yet? How has it performed in the rain and wind? Thanks for the review, it looks like a great tent.

I'm deciding between this and the Big House for three season Lake Erie camping, so whatever I choose has to stand up to some pretty harsh wind and rain. The Big House has a front door that zips entirely, so I sometimes lean that way for warmth and rain protection. What has your experience been like in the elements with the Tensleep thus far? Thanks for the video!

Tx starman! Unfortunately the windows do not zip closed. The doors do though. Seems like everyone is going away from that.

Whoops I read your message wrong. Both doors do have zippered windows.

This is an old review, but we own this tent and love it (2 of us). The ONLY thing we do not like is the fact that it’s only screened on one side!! Huge faux pas!! You have no flow through! Obviously bugs come into play when you open the back side (no screen). The air comes in, but serves no purpose...it needs to remain closed, again for bugs if open. Also, we can’t see our dog at night in the tent without the non-screened side of the tent being open. No idea why they would do that; however, it is great quality...once you learn how to put it up!! It DOES NOT come with directions!! LOL

Katie Gilmore I don't know what you're complaining about. I made this video 3 1/2 years ago in a hurry with the cell phone to try to help other people who are interested in it. Take some Dramamine before Peru zing RUclips next time?
