You are very consistent in your yearly routines, cooking, always presenting yourself with a beautiful makeup, hairdo, and clothing! Although I am in the last third of my life, it has been very hard for me to have the lovely home routines that you have developed over the years. I have moved and moved most of my life and find it very disruptive of routines. But I do have good memories of my Mother and Grandma and how very consistent they always were. I can honestly say that I never saw either one of them with messed up hair! They would pin curl their hair at night, get up in the morning and comb out a perfect hairdo!😊. I would love to hear of your memories of your Mother and Grandmother! It’s always interesting to find out the influences that form your way of thinking and doing!😊👍👏🌷🌸
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Routines have helped me greatly over my life, I think that they are a comfort when life gets hectic and unpredictable. Lol, I love the story of your mother and grandmother. My mom and her 5 sisters would get their hair done every Friday at the same beauty shop at the same time! The routine was after their hair was done they would all go grocery shopping together if they could. The Friday hair appointment was never missed and it was so much fun for us as kids to go along. They were hilarious when they were all together, the greatest group of women I will ever know!

I don’t know how, but I forgot to mention that my Mother was a first and second grade teacher until well into her sixties. She was one of those rare born teachers with a real talent! She died in 2021 at the age of being 19 days short of ninety-seven years old! She had one sister two years older than she who was a nurse, and her husband a pastor for 32 years in India. I grew up hearing stories of how my Mother grew up in the depression and how her Mother had huge gardens and canned food. My Grandpa had work during the entire depression as an electrician on the trolley cars in Shreveport, LA. Please, more stories from you! 😁🌸
