- This is how you go bigger on a mountain bike! I attach a huge wing to my back and see if I can go bigger on my enduro MTB! Before discovering this new sport I hit some sick kicker ramp spots and send bangers, would you try this?
I just got a load of new Wing foiling gear and it clicked into my mind that if I connect this wing to my back then I might be able to hit jumps on my MTB and fly even further with this huge thing attached to my back!! Before my mind sparks and creates this new sport I head out on my enduro bike and find a perfect spot to scrape in a landing ramp on the side of the road. After making this landing I put up an MTB hopper ramp and create a huge gap jump to go big on. A few jumps and tricks later it was time to move on to the next spot that we squeeze in before creating this new ridiculous sport with the massive wing foil kite! What do you think about this, should I take this new invention further?

You'll get much more lift when you attach yourself to one of the middle straps of the kite-thing. You'll know it works if it creates some drag when pedaling without wanting to flip.
Keep attaching one strap further back until it starts wanting to flip. Then attach to the last one that didn't make it flip: that's your best attachment point

Or just tighten the backstrap he tied around the waist, increasing the angle of attack.

I found you through the hoopy bike/plywood bicycle videos. I have no affinity with any of the sports you do, but I enjoy the enthusiasm and experimentation a lot. And +1 for the V8 sound.
I remember a friend of mine got in touch with you just to buy a set of white Halo Chaos wheels before anyone could even buy them. And you as the good man you are contacted Halo and worked out a deal so he could actually order them. I just bought my first fully suspended mtb. It’s a ghost as well. I thought it rode amazing glad to hear I’m not alone.
Do you think if you hit that jump down a hill at 80kmh it would perform better? Asking for a friend who might know such a hill in his backyard and is just dumb enough to try it out.

This vids are just sick their hundreds to watch I just watched the 80cc petrol mountain bike the man has got balls I got the fever couple of month ago took my sons bike out for a quick few jumps I ended up in hospital with a dislocated shoulder and ripped tendon in the shoulder and right knee fair to say that is me done 😂😂❤️

Wing biking looks awesome!! I wonder if it would be more suited to a drop rather than a kicker, as when you take off and go up, the wing looks kinda like it's pushed down a bit.
Also wonder if it would be good to have a strap from either grip out further on the wing, rather than one central, to try and hold it a bit more steady 🤔

HEY SAM! i have a proposal for you. Purchase the cheapst carbon frame off a Chinese website or eBay. Build up a bike and rip it as hard as you can

Absolutely bonkers 😂 you should put a strap from each bar end to the top part and the handles that run down the centre strap to your back and seat of the bike then get SENDY 🤙
Hi Sam. Your center of gravity (front to back) should be just in front of the center of lift (usually 1/3 rd back from the leading edge of the wing). Then adjust angle of attack.

You need to tighten the aft strap to generate positive angle of attack.

Sam you are a nutcase but I mean that in a good way keep up the creativity don't let nothing hold you back I do like the airfoil bike deal if you make the proper harness maybe with a little conversation with an engineer you might be able to come up with the proper support and that will become a real sport. As far as your enthusiasm and just overall super cool fun guy to hang around with online your number one thanks for the content
If you want this to really work you gotta have a line to keep tension on the back of the kite to force it to maintain a good angle of attack. You can see it fluttering when you do the jump which means you’re getting next to no bonus lift from it. Basically it’s gotta be slanted relative to the direction the air is moving like an airplane wing, without a line at the back it will naturally go to flat like a flag on a pole

The wing needs to be rigid mounted somehow to your back otherwise by the time it generates lift your already 3/4s of the way through the jump.. Also finding its centre of gravity is critical for it to actually lift anything, if the angle of attack of the wing is too high or low, it wont work much at all...
