This was SO HELPFUL! I've been thinking about an affordable way to furnish my space with dope art and this is perfect. Thank you for showing how to pop off and reinstall the sawtooth, I had no idea you could move those around!
thank you so much for that message at the end about not giving up! i typically try out something DIY and if it doesn’t go well the first time, I get frustrated with it and don’t want to try again. But all mistakes are lessons learned and each try will get better and better. Love these ideas! Will definitely be trying them out with some frames off the side of the road that i found! 😁 Someone elses trash is another’s treasure!
Thanks for this. Have been wanting to repurpose a framed print from Goodwill. Finally found the right sized thrifted framed print with a matte for the oddly sized print that I love but have had hidden away in a closet for 10+ years! (Couldn’t bear to pay over $100 to have it professionally framed.) your instructions concerning the staples, pliars, “alligator roll” were really helpful!
Watched the video and thinking about my bare walls. I was doing artwork and it's frustrating to get the colors just right. I like the colors in old vintage artwork..so thanks for the idea. I will buy some shortcut. Thank you again!
I just watched this video and I thought it a very good educational video. I have one comment about getting the thrift store price stickers off. I usually lay the frame, or China, etc, down on my kitchen counter and put a wet cloth or wet sponge on the sticker and let it sit at least 5 minutes. After that time, they usually wipe away very easily and quickly. Sometimes, very rarely, do I have to scrub them off. I find this method safer than loading the sink with bare glass. I've cut myself one too many times on broken glass to even try it. I loved the idea of printing photos from the web on my own printer. I did that myself with some dried flower artwork. It turned out very nice. My style is very feminine. I would keep the floral arrangement pictures as is. Thanks for the very nice video. I do hope you get more supscribers soon.
When the matte and picture are all one piece, just carefully cut the print out of the matte with a very sharp utility or craft knife and then use a very high grit sand paper 400-600) on the edge of the image and inside of the matte to clean them up if needed! Just make sure you cut right on the edge where the matte meets the edge of the image 😁
The prints would have looked way better with matting on top of them. Somehow the print right up to the frame just doesn't do it justice. Also the artist painted the painting the way it is on purpose. If you cut out what you like the artwork really loses a LOT of character. This is just my opinion. Any artist that saw this done to his/her art would be deeply offended.

Using old calendars can be cut out and put in picture frames too.

is the "Rub-n-Buff" a good permanent color? or does it dull over time?
Get a sheet of foam core from dollar store to back your prints. The acidity in cardboard will damage your prints.
