- This is Part 1 (Ice Station Norway) of Mission 5 of Return to Castle Wolfenstein titled "Deathshead's Playground". Played on the "I am Death Incarnate!" difficulty with 100% secrets. There are no treasure items in this level.
B.J. has gathered enough information on Deathshead's whereabouts, and the OSA has tracked him to Norway, home of the dangerous X-Labs. Before B.J. can get into the X-Labs, however, he must fight through the initial Nazi barricade... in the snow!

I really like how you're taking the time to listen to their conversations and even highlighting the sound of them. Really adds to the immersion of the game. Most LPers just go in guns blazing and ruin the moment.

Watching you go through this level without sounding any alarms makes me wonder why they didn't make this level a stealth mission like Forest and Paderborn Village
I love that line, too. Sarcasm can be so funny sometimes. And true, they could've made this into a strictly stealth-only level. It would've been cool that way. But that's not to say the level isn't any good as it is, because this level is cool. =)
@@LightningBoltForever I can see how the level is thought out though! but if you were to press the alarm yourself, I think the nazis would get alerted
I love blowing up that generator and watching the two guys explode. I didn't know you could maintain stealth if you killed the dock guy first. If you go in guns blazing and blow the generator as soon as you see it, the level is twice as hard and there's an armored guy with a venom gun that comes out of the upper level of the first structure and about 8 other enemies with venom guns in the level. It's tough but it's fun that way too.
This floor is big and fun, and you made it even more funnier, especially with the 3 guys near the end.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around why they were there. =O

2:10 - This is a bug that happens when you use an autosave to watch one of the cutscenes.
If you watch a cutscene normally (i.e. directly after beating the level before it), it won't happen.
RTCW gamedevs gave life to enemy soldiers. Something which majority of the games don't even have it.
Yeah those guys come from behind whether the alarm is sounded or not. It depends on how fast you clear out the last hangar. That's probably why you haven't seen them. You probably finised the level before they came. :) i love this game because of the nocliping trees and random funny glithces

Very nice, old game but super war battle !
Clearly the Nazis aren't happy on Norway. Probably because of the cold weather. You had some surprises, but nothing that ruined your run.
It seems like there have been a ton of surprises in this LP! But that's good though. It makes playing the game interesting. =)

Those guys that appeared behind you reminded me of the Siberia level in Goldeneye007, when dudes with sniper rifles kept spawning behind you.

Yeah, this definitely reminds me of NOLF2's Siberia mission for sure. Especially the daytime missions of that section of the game.

This is one of my favourite levels in the game
In rare case, paratrooper could kick you if you are too close. It might happen near ladders, I think.

If You storm This level You Will have Many enemys that are coming after you. And they will come from behind of you if they have seen you before You open the Big blast-door, that is why you was surprise when they were shooting at you from the rear.
Those guys with wenomcun shall have three shots with Mauser Riffel or one/two shot(s) with Snooper Riffel (one shot in the head).
As for myself, I love to storme This level, for there will be Many with venom guns chasing you.
I have a question, How fast can you or anyone complete This game? I have done it in 02:48:24 without cutscenes, but now I am trying to complete it faster.

0:10 - (pop!) Cutscenes in this game are weird sometimes... Notice the door then "closed" when they popped into view. It's like the cutscene was loading but the audio was playing anyways...
The cutscenes are rendered in real time. You can even noclip in them. Each level has a seperate area in game only for the cutscene. Its always cool to explore them.

Is it just me, or does this map look almost exactly like NOLF2's Siberian missions? Those mountains and pine trees look awfully familiar.

How do those guys know about 'those loping monstrosities' if BJ hadn't even come across them, and they can't even locate the SWF by themselves?
Maybe they got some documents from other spies that atested that, like in the other cutscenes where they were talking about tactics and strategies to recommend in Blazkowicz upcoming missions (like the info they got about undead warriors, SS Paranormal Division, Deathshead destination and secret facility, or Helga von Bulow).
From the debriefing of BJ, he is supposedly return to base and get debriefed, if you press TAB to see the mission objectives and briefing there are some numbers by the side, these numbers represent the completed missions if you click on them there is a mission debrief.
this map, you have to make your way through the level, but there are quite a lot of guys you have to take care of! if you use the quiet method, you won't have to deal as many guys as you would with the noisy method! the noisy method would be a pain in the ass big time
