Part of a series of videos that show the game Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Each map is featured by a video, and the map transitions are consistant, meaning health, armor, weapons, and ammo are carried over. The set difficulty is Death Incarnate.

this game was absolutely mindblowing when it first came out in 2001.
And mindblowingly taxing on my shitty desktop with worst GPU in history, the nVidia 440MX

I think you are right! But why, becouse you can open doors, play stealth game if you want and the game includes different objectives. Not mention the dozens of guns and the big maps. Also the developers made some bypasses on the maps so you can kill enemies from behind! ALSO not mention the collectables and hidden rooms. :)
GHOOSTHUN Oh, and the multyplayer still playable and there are always at least 100 people online. And there are dozens of mods out there. :))

Game james Wolfenstein the New Order is just a overhyped game. Nothing more than a punch of promised ideas that were only used once. The concept and main idea sounded nice on paper, but actually creating something like what have claimed in there trailers is far from done.
The level design was pretty boring it was very liner, had vary few elements that made is memorable. Which to mention the levels honestly are not replay-able.
The story and overall game was trying to go for a more serious atmosphere which I personally find didn't match with what Wolfenstein was to begin with from the very start. Sadly due to that you have a overly serious and short game, one of which is not replay-able to the fullest.
Now don't get me wrong I don't completely hate the New Order, because it was fun for the time being. Just wasn't as great as the other games of the series. I just thought the serious tone they inspired to bring didn't work with a game like Wolfenstein is all.
Then Wolfenstein the new order what?

I don't care wut u say, this is not only the father of first person shooter games and IS the best one ever created. Graphics are amazing even compaired to today's.

rtcw i liked so much when it came out. I always saw it as a mix of doom and something like CoD. Excellent maps and especially the weapon handling/damge/attack speed feels so satisfying.

Good job on this level. I remember really struggling on Ice Station Norway-- one of the toughest non-boss levels, even harder than the one in that creepy church with those leather femme-fatale babes (elite guard IIRC) and that hangar when the wicked-tough paratroopers drop in.
The soldiers here are smart with their positioning, and the way they take the high ground and use the various weapons makes it tough to advance.

Yep, agreed....some levels used to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Dark room, surround sound, large screen, etc bloody brilliant. Obviously it looks dated now, but then... IMO it was the best.
it surely has lots of elements from Spear Of Destiny! well remembered, dude. you can see clearly the influence of this game when you find occult references in RTCW.

I don't know why, but I really like the snooper rifle the most. Looks cool, drops them quick and makes a cool sound.
interesting is that first machine-gun ever was something like minigun. Multi-barreled rotary MG was used even in year 1899 in Battle of Omdurman, where Brits lose about 50 men after killing nearly 16000 Sudan soldiers (mostly equipped with swords and spears)

@Zelgati yup. same here, I was 10 when my older brother bought this game and I loved watching him play...I could never get past the catacombs level though...too scary :P but I finished it some years later and I still love it for the same reasons you do.
when i was 7 my brother, he was 16 was playing this, and i always was waching him...
And the last week i found this game in a old box, and i said: lets play (my first play in this game)

For some reason, Venom soldiers freaked me the most, even more than Uber Soldats. They could take way more lead than any other soldiers, and when equipped with venom gun in the open they became nightmare (on high difficulty of course). My guess is that they've also been in some way enhanced by Deathshead. Pity we don't get any insides about them in the game.

Oh man are you right. The graphics might be a bit more bump maped but as far as insane fun and incredible enemies.RTCW was top AND REALLY INCREDABLE MAPS AND GAMEPLAY.

My personal complement, that on that day, this was everlasting game has blended of perfect thoughts of SciFi, and great Nazi with great graphic, sound effects exciting modern age 💪 ammunition in one paper 👌👌👌❤

Potentially. I'm aiming at a few games now that I want to do. Of course, I'm working on Doom 3 and afterwards ROE (+ a tribute) now. After, I plan on some other ID games, including the Quake games and the original Doom series as well. This is all because I just love ID Software so much lol.
RTCW ist just Epic. The steering, the music, the atmosphere and the idea... Wolfenstein 2 isnt even close to that.
