- This is Part 4 (Air Base Assault) of Mission 3 of Return to Castle Wolfenstein titled "Weapons of Vengeance". Played on the "I am Death Incarnate!" difficulty. There are no secrets or treasure items in this level.
The Paratroopers got the most badass introduction
I get a lot of laughs from my friends for being a girl and playing games like these...but watching you play makes it fun and helps out with the levels I had a hard time with. Also the commentary is not over the top like most so I enjoy it. Keep up the good work...

trivia: FG in FG42 stands for "Fallschirmjägergewehr" which lterally means "paratrooper rifle"

What you've said about the FG-42 paratroop rifle is quite true! It's also my favorite weapon in this game too!
I remember the first time I played this level I entered the room with the unarmed guy who tells you everything I pulled the lever left and he followed me all the way up to tower clearance I couldn't bring myself to kill him
wolfensteinassassin Happened to me once. I don't like to kill surrendering soldiers but neither do I want someone to be chasing me the whole time.
This was my favorite level! Wish this was available for Mac...would love to play again.

Cheers for these walkthroughs LBF. I went back to playing my old xbox when the 360 went kaput and after I replayed the PS2 game collection to death. This level is by far my favourite of the game, because of the first appearance of the FG42 and basically the essence of the track and it's pretty much all long range shooting, and the main reason is that it's relaxing after the anxiety of the crypt levels and the undetected one hahahaha.
I like your style it's stealthier than mine and thanks for this series of videos

Nano Cooper What difference does it make to kill a soldier when he's dropping down on his parachute or later when he's on the ground? None.
I know you jest, but attacks on airborne forces being parachuted into battle are not actually prohibited by the Geneva Convention (which is something I genuinely just learned).
I think it has to be an ejected pilot of a dawned plane or something to be prohibited to shoot

The Geneva Convention didn't exist until after WWII. And as such, it only covers unarmed prisoners and civilians. If you made the decision to join the military, you accept the risk of being shot while you don't have a gun ready.
used to play this game when i was like 6-7 years old, one of my favorite games of all time
If you shoot the parachutes with the rifle they will collapse and the paratroopers will fall onto the ground and die :)

I don't think the truck-not-coming out is actually a glitch. It happened to me when I decided to climb down the hill and take out the soldiers on that side rather than go down the watch tower. If you don't trigger the alarm, the truck doesn't come out
I hated this level because of that guard in the tower always tripping the alarm. My father also loved the FG42 Paratroop Rifle because the Xbox controller would vibrate with each shot, as opposed to a constant vibration when you fired a submachine gun.
It’s easy to take out the paratroopers by shooting their parachute
This mission is cool. It kinda reminds me of the "Runway" from Goldeney 007 64. And yes, that FG42 is awesome! It's so versatile to kill in close and long range and like you said, more accurate than a machine gun but also more fast than a sniper rifle. And I know it's war, but killing an (apparenlty) unarmored Nazi engineer is pretty ruthless. If this was a Star Wars game, that act would be an easy way to lead to the dark side. Not a bad thing, though. =D

You can actually damage the parachutes. Shoot at them with the Sten for example and then you give the paratoopers two options: learn to fly or drop down to the ground and die. Wanna guess which one of those two may be? 😆
fun fact: if you shoot at the cannopy of the parachute on the paratroopers with a rifle its an insta-kill
I know I'm late but....yes!! I use the rocket launcher. You can take out two at once.....
Hey I did the mission the same way you did and the base seems to be alerted and spawns the truck after you leave the hangar at 2:25, it seems that it is a scripted scene.
That Truck-Not-Coming-Out glitch happened to me and I wasn't even doing it stealthy. Idk what happened lol.

Love your game play on one of my favorite games ever! And yes, I played this level one time and the truck never did come out. Only time it happened and don't know why.
This is my favourite mission from the game, I just like to sit at the tree at the beginning and snipe everybody. The FG42 is an awesome weapon, too bad it uses the same ammo as the Mauser.
I know I said this was one of my favorites, but I think I like this level most of all like you do. I love the wide-open environment it has, considering a lot of RtCW levels have you follow a rather compact and sometimes linear path. The Paratrooper Rifle is simply amazing. It's the Super Shotgun of RtCW. By the way, congrats on 1000 subscribers! =D

That sniper from the metal beamy structure up there is quite annoying. Sometimes he is there, sometimes he is not there, he's got very good cover and he can one-shot you. ;)
I may be wrong but i think that the law of war say's that one can not shoot down a parachuter not until he at least touches the ground

I never got the idea of getting behind the truck and firing a rocket in it. Actually, if you let the crew jump out, one of them is a sniper with some mad skills. He can take 50% of your health with just one blow.

Where have I heard that FG42 reload sound before?
Somehow the FG42 reminds me of a rifle that I used to use in one of the Counter-Strike games, either Condition Zero or Source. Trying to remember which one it was, it had rapid fire very similar to this. It was awesome if YOU had it, but rather painful if someone on the other team had it.

The cobra jet is actually a real thing called bachem ba 349 "natter", a german mad rocket powered interceptor with only objective to destroy the allied bomber fleet by firing 28 rockets, all at the same time, as shown in the game the natter takes off vertically by one single rocket engine which can reach a top speed of 1000km/h and it can be controlled by an autopilot.
The natter never saw actual combat because of the shortage of resources and the already ending war, it was a desperate idea that in the eyes of the nazis was their last hope, by the end of the war the american along with soviet soldiers captured the rocket interceptor in some regions in austria, later to be studied on during the cold war.
I'd like to see you do Soldier of fortune.
I the hall at the end on the ground floor, there's a guy behind a truck. You can see his feet and he dies if you aim between those feet.
I played this game when it first hit the shelves.
I think you can open one of the lockers in that chaingingroom at the end. But Iam not sure, its been 20 years since Ive played it. A healthpack or a screwdriver was in there. It was not listed as a secret
FG stands for Falschirmjager Gewher... which literally translates to Paratrooper Rifle.

I love this level alot but it seems unfinished at some parts of it . For such a big map i always have expected more action . Such as planes to destroy some trucks to make boom and more Nazi soldiers to kill ( somewhat like that level in Medal of Honor when you fires at planes while you are in a jeep ) .
That door with that empty room seems like something the devs has forgotten to make it a secret room with ammo and some treasures or alike .
About the truck i got it a few times too it never came guess it's a glitch .
Like i said as far i love this level it has many glitches , bugs as they missed really the occasion to put more action in this level . Maybe it is because it is such a big map alot couldn't be done properly as this game was very limited compared to others from that era .

There's a lot of levels that I like in this game, so it's kind of hard to me to have a favorite too, but if I had to pick only one level, it'd be this one. =)

How in the world do you run this game?! I just bought it off of steam with my windows 8 laptop and it can't boot up. What do you use to boot this game?

I've stealthed up to the opening the gate, the truck comes no matter what normally (saved my snooper ammo to kill the truck guys quietly)
I use mauser for those in the truck, I save Snooper ammo for Norway

10:12 there are 2 cobra planes one is on the truck
What I don't get about this mission is why the fuck BJ didn't just use the two jets that were conveniently near the runway. I understand the OSA wants BJ to use the Kobra so he can bring it back for further study and reverse engineering but i don't think you should risk your best agent's life just for a jet.
The part 1 briefing mentions that the base is located on the Baltic Coast, and the plane should be flown to Malta. It's unrealistic as hell too because an interceptor rocket plane (not a ballistic missile) can't travel so far.
