Last time I saw Beka play was in duet with Chick Corea... That opening gave me goose bumps both for the energy and the thought that Chick's legacy is surely everlasting.
Saw Chick, John, and Dave at the Detroit Jazz Festival held each Labor Day weekend a few years ago and was blown away. Chick was one of those musical geniuses and mentors who music lives on through the many people he has had a huge influence on.
Wonderful to see these young musicians bringing life to Chick Corea's creations. Heartwarmimg to see Dave and John's expressions of approval and appreciation. I love you all and have watched a Chick Corea concert every night since the beginning of lockdown 2020.
Awesome stuff. I haven't seen Dave smile that much during a performance ever! The music floated effortlessly, a tornado of creativity. Fantastic pianists!
Truly transcendent...and the bonus encore of "Spain" might be one of the best all-time performances of Chick's masterpiece! Worthy of the genius that he was/is!

He is very under-rated. Whatever you could have said about his sound in the 80s, he is doubtless at this point a super versatile player. Though, personally, i think drums is the instrument with the most superb players. Novak, DeJohnette, Larry White, Tony, Roy, Elvin, Brecklin, Vinnie, Ballard, Blade. I don't think any other instrument has as many outlandishly good musicians on it as drums.
I did not know anything about this event, stumbled upon only by chance; great one, indeed, but especially I was impressed by Beka's mastery! Emotionally it looks like he is trying going through a horizon, tries catching the uncatchable, or perhaps so playing with the impossible!
Eternal Child is such a beautiful masterpiece of music ever composed. And Gadi's performance was marvelous. I had goosebumps and tears of joy coming up while listening. Thanks so much for this!
What a beautiful tribute to Chick... Those piano players truly embody Chick's spirit and the smiles on John and Dave's faces confirm that. Beautiful...
Wow! So glad I found this. Amazing young musicians and two of the greats. Hats off to the camera and sound crew as well. Beautifully captured guys. We live in a troubled world but it's amazing I can awake in the early hours and this pops up on my feed. Humanity at its greatest.

Absolutely unbelievable musicianship all three. Dave is the greatest jazz drummer of all-time in my opinion. What a trio.
