Thanks for your post. It is very helpful since this whole thing is confusing. Here is part of my confusion: I should unlink the account first but unfortunately there is no way to unlink it. That is, there is nothing that is linked to the xbox account or any other account for that matter. In another separate epic account, I see that the xbox name is linked. However, as a nameless account, there is nothing to disconnect. There are only active "connect" buttons under all the apps, e.g., xbox, twitch. So, I am a little concerned on your first step of deleting the account without unlinking the account. When I look at the Epic website to "request account delete" to delete an account, it says this action will "Start the process of deleting your Epic Games account including all purchases, game progress, in-game content, and Unreal projects permanently. This action is irreversible and your account will be disabled once submitted." It is a big leap of faith to delete the account with that warning. I know you mentioned that "your save data/skins are connected to your psn/xbox/switch account - not your epic account" but given the Epic website, it says something different. One note is that there have been no charges my epic account yet. I wonder if that means I have the green light to delete the account. What do you think?
This didn't help, but when do any of these YT videos help. So when Epic games bought rocket league i had to sign into rocket league with a epic games account. I tried to but it refused to take my details. It then proceeded to give me a nameless account that i have 0 CONTROL OVER, so how do i unlink my rocket league account if i dont even have access to the nameless account they automatically linked for me.

Problems "un-linking" an account is a separate issue from the ones described in this video. I would highly suggest emailing EPIC with this question. Comment and let me know what they say and we might be able to solve this together.
Thanks just had to hit that playstation login button on the epic login site and after i logged in using my psn account then bam I was able to link my switch and use cross save

Hi! There's a difference between your Epic account and your console account. Your data is stored on your console account - the one I tell you not to delete. Your save data/ skins are NOT stored on your EPIC account - this is the account I'm telling you (and Epic will tell you) needs to be deleted and recreated using the methods in this video. Hope this clears it up!

If it helps, email Epic again and ask them where your save data is stored for your games. They'll tell you what I've said in this video, but I'd always advise people to do their own research and comment on what did and didn't work. Best of luck mate!
as far as i know, your old account HAS to be unlinked before you can link up your new account. definitely email epicgames and explain your situation to them

Savage-yarn if you have two epic accounts, unlink everything from one and delete it. Wait for your confirmation email that the account has been deleted. Then, link up everything to whatever account you want.

It's because you have it linked to a "nameless account" that epic automatically sets up for you if you start playing Fortnite or Dauntless without logging in with your actual account. Follow the steps in the video and you'll be able to link them all up under one account.
create new email and sign in to epic games by clicking the psn/ps4 option. put your new email and then after you are in go to connections and unlink the ps4. after that you can go to your original epic games account and link there the psn

I had a problem of trying to link my epic account to my xbox and because i played dauntless with the "nameless" acc ive found the solution, sign out of epicgames go to sign in and sign in with your xbox acc then go and unlink the xbox acc from the newly made acc then go back to the acc you originally wanted and link it.

if your old xbox account was linked to your epic games account then unlinking it shouldn't be a problem. you'll lose your purchases made on your old xbox account but linking your new xbox account shouldn't be a problem.

everyone before you make a mistake, make sure that you have no other accounts for playvs. I messed up and have about 3, but I didnt know my epic account was connected on one i didnt want it to be on, so make sure none of your other accounts are connected to your epic account

Then I unlinked my PSN account from my Epic account to see if I could log into his account but in the process I guess I lost all my stuff as well. Most stressful thing I've had to deal with. But it doesn't seem right to just have us lose all that stuff we paid for.
I agree. There should be some common sense to their deletion process. They should know, "Hey, this person has purchased items on their account. Maybe we should double-check before deleting it. At the very least, they should keep your account in a 'recently deleted' status and remain recoverable within 30 days or so.

I'd email Epic Games just to be sure, but you might have created two official accounts on your ps4. I'd log into Epic's website and check which systems were linked. If your ps4 is already linked then you probably just have two accounts.

When i try To link my Xbox account the page of loging in dousnt load in
that's probably just a connection problem with either their server or your internet. I'd wait or just try it with a different computer.

yes, you can link and unlink accounts without trouble as long as you follow the proper steps.

i need help. i got banned on my psn account and i disconnected it from my epic games account. i made a new psn and tried to link it to my epic games account because i only have skins on this epic account. so when i tried to log it in it said “recently linked to another psn”. HELPPP
i have deleted an account on switch and want to link it to a new account which is connect to my ps4 as primary is this possible. i keep getting a message saying sorry this nintendo account is already associated with another epic games account , yet i have received confirmation email from epic games saying it has been deleted ?

So I used to have an Xbox but recently bought a ps4. I unlinked my account from Xbox and tried to link it to ps4 but it says it has already been linked to a ps4 account. And that’s has never happened
It's because you have it linked to a "nameless account" that epic automatically sets up for you if you start playing Fortnite or Dauntless without logging in with your actual account. Follow the steps in the video and you'll be able to link them all up under one account.
Bro my fortnite account doesn’t even say that it’s already linked it just says failed to login, do I just do the same steps?
create new email and sign in to epic games by clicking the psn/ps4 option. put your new email and then after you are in go to connections and unlink the ps4. after that you can go to your original epic games account and link there the psn
Wait hold up I'm confused you said DONT disconnect my nameless account from my Xbox or I'll loose everything but then after say unlink everything and delete so if I follow through these steps I'll loose my years worth of RL data?

ATTENTION!!! I had a problem of trying to link my epic account to my xbox and because i played dauntless with the "nameless" acc ive found the solution, sign out of epicgames go to sign in and sign in with your xbox acc then go and unlink the xbox acc from the newly made acc then go back to the acc you originally wanted and link it.

haha headless... just make sure you unlink your psn account. delete your epic - NOT your psn. wait until confirmation email from epic that your account was deleted. create new epic by clicking psn icon.
i already deleted the account and signed out of my fortnite account but it says i cannot link it to another external account cua i already linked it to a differnet external account and i can only link it to the first extrenal account not a new one. do u know how to fix this

if your old xbox account was linked to your epic games account then unlinking it shouldn't be a problem. you'll lose your purchases made on your old xbox account but linking your new xbox account shouldn't be a problem.

I started playing fortnite in nintendo switch and i tried to link my account to ps4 so i can have my progress there as well. I linked both of my consoles to my epic games account and then i started playing fortnite in ps4. I couldnt link my epic games account from the ps4 fortnite cause i had already done that from the epic games website. But when i moved forward to play none of my progress in fortnite was there. I dont get whats the problem :(
everyone before you make a mistake, make sure that you have no other accounts for playvs. I messed up and have about 3, but I didnt know my epic account was connected on one i didnt want it to be on, so make sure none of your other accounts are connected to your epic account

I really hope this helps me out. I accidentally deleted my nephews account and hope I can recover it. Then I unlinked my PSN account from my Epic account to see if I could log into his account but in the process I guess I lost all my stuff as well. Most stressful thing I've had to deal with. But it doesn't seem right to just have us lose all that stuff we paid for.
I agree. There should be some common sense to their deletion process. They should know, "Hey, this person has purchased items on their account. Maybe we should double-check before deleting it. At the very least, they should keep your account in a 'recently deleted' status and remain recoverable within 30 days or so.
@@FastTipsGaming So I found another video that kinda helped. I created a new Epic Account that was able to link to my PSN but when I start up Fortnite it keeps putting me on the account with none of my purchases and back at level 1

no you are not it doesnt let you connect ps4 account to another ps4 account. jus email epic games saying u have a problem with this and tell them to disconnect your ps4 account so u can link it with another one

Thank you I was freaking out Becuase when I tried to redeem my vbucks it didint let me pick Nintendo when I tried linking or connect it it said it’s already associated with another epic device I disconnected and request delete account and it will take 14 days after 14 days I will log in with the platform option and I will be able to redeem my vbucks card

I'd email Epic Games just to be sure, but you might have created two official accounts on your ps4. I'd log into Epic's website and check which systems were linked. If your ps4 is already linked then you probably just have two accounts.
