@Niels Broek was the 1 u got back linked to your xbox, u can't link other people's accounts to ur xbox if they had it linked to there's anymore. Not fortnite accounts anyway.
@Niels Broek if you've never linked ur account follow this guys videos use a different email password, but make sure u remember them as u need to verify them also go to the fortnite website epic games make sure its located ur xbox add new details to link, then unlink that 1, bear in mind all ur stuff will transfer to this 1. Then link ur old account. But whatever progress made on ghost account goes to the email password you've made. It's complicated once u do it you'll know. U can just link unlink both accounts which ever u want to play on. Don't Delet the account he's totally wrong. YOU WILL LOOSE ALL UR STUFF.

@@zento7388 when you first signed into fortnite you signed in with a PS account. So your epic account is essentially piggybacking off your PS account. If you remove your PS account then your epic account is in a spot where it doesn't really have it's own details. Hope this makes sense

This was extremely helpful. I actually had a different situation. My daughter got the Switch Fornite bundle, started a "ghost" account instead of using her previous, redeemed the code in the ghost account and wanted to use it from now on. But I was never able to create an Epic account linked to the ghost to be able to login in the browser for future purchases (she also got a VBucks gift card, which is only redeemable online). This video made me understand how to navigate and solve this: I created another account with another email - this was the trick, successfully linked to ghost, deleted previous account, and went back to the other email account and I can actually change the email back to hers instead of delete/create, ... voilà!!!

AqT you have to use a valid existing email that can be like from your parents or brothers/sisters or anybody but you wont really use their email its just to make an account for the ghost account because the ghost account doesnt have any information like an email or password thats why its called ghost account, so then after you make the account with a different valid email and create any password and then just follow the steps correcty and u should get your account back🙂

All you gotta do is disconnect the epic games acc from your ps4 acc and connect the xbox acc to your ps4

AqT you have to use a valid existing email that can be like from your parents or brothers/sisters or anybody but you wont really use their email its just to make an account for the ghost account because the ghost account doesnt have any information like an email or password thats why its called ghost account, so then after you make the account with a different valid email and create any password and then just follow the steps correcty and u should get your account back🙂

Do you think I could get my account back I unlinked it and then it kept saying sign up so I put random email and password (for example sjowdyelcywnwn as password and stuff) and ya and it linked to that and I logged out of it but I emailed epic from 7 months ago to now and never got it back

James Raye you cant, if you are on PS4 then you can only relink it to the account you originally had it on, not on another account
