There's really no need to take the whole thing off. I managed to get the bottle out/back in by just undoing the screws that hold everything in front of it. Folded the trim back and wiggled the bottle out. Filter was nasty, clogged by almost clear silicone looking gunk. Put it in bleach for a while, then rinsed it with pressure washer. Put everything back together. Then remembered i forgot to connect the filler hose and had to doit all again. Good as new now. Apart from x3 plastic clips on the side of the trim, those will need replacing.

You welcome, I hope the adventure went well, yes the motor is usually the issue, but. Cleaning the tank and filter is essential as this can make the motors fail..
@@DaringBeefcake Thank you, I changed the engine and it was fine, the engine was a problem, the tank and filter were clean, anyway I washed them once too, anyway everything was from the factory for almost 10 years.

If you can’t hear any noise when you try to operate them , then you need to check the motors, have you tried the rear one ? Or you have a saloon. In any case I have changed motors before they go bad.
@@DaringBeefcake nothing can be heard anymore, I have a sedan, I don't have a motor on the back, so I understand that it doesn't have a check fuse beforehand, it's strange how the needle worked for a few days and suddenly it doesn't work anymore, so I should get a motor that is safe from that? what fir tree and maraca should I get as an alternative to the original?
How the heck does it get so dirty? Almost seems like something was growing inside. Did you fill it with tap water? Or if you use a washer fluid, did you dilute it with tap water?
Yes I dilute with tap water but I do so with all the cars I work with, it’s only BMWs that suffer this issue, I have not had any other car with this problem. So I don’t know why this is the case.
the model change some issiue on the g20 it's very difficult make this operation without tool any alternative solution by some product destroying and clean the deposit inside the water serbatoio

Mine has issue when is cold nothing comes out. I use washer fluid for up to -18. But still nothing coming out. I can hear the pump only
Maybe worth cleaning the system anyway, chances are it’s got gunk on it.

Can you not use a strong Vacuum cleaner/hoover?
Have you tried a hoover ?, how is that going to unblock the miniature filter at the pump.

Well water that is there for long periods of time tends to form mold which then blocks the filters.
