Thanks really helpful, Just inserted the garden hose and left on the water, removed the hose from the bonnet and blew with my mouth in … really worked well, for those who don’t have a compressor like me 😂. Now is perfect. Many thanks.
Great video thanks. I used a wet vac in reverse and blew into the pump. Then wet vac out to clear the tank. Flushed through and reset. Perfect worked a treat on my BMW 3 series.
I blew air down the pipe with a bicycle pump. Then, I used my sons hand vehicle fluid vacuum pump to empty the tank several times to clear all the crap out. That did the trick.
Fantastic video, thanks so much. I just followed the second method blowing compressed air from a electric tyre pump back through the system and it sorted the job. You’re a star!
Took mine into for recall and asked them to sort this exact problem out, within 2 weeks it was clogged again. Took it back in today to get them to fix something they should have already fixed and hoping they don’t try and shaft me. Either way, you’ve just shown me exactly what I thought it was
BMW z4 e89 same here water dribbling out even with a full washer bottle but could see it was lined with black sediment , i have a mini jet washer runs off makita battery hand hot water jet washed the washer bottle out then syphoned the crap out did this a few times , worked a treat perfectly.
Just bought a used 2010 318i and it's definitely blocked, small spurts come out at the start and then nothing. When I filled up the reservoir I noticed the tube is discoloured, lord knows what previous owners put in there. Gonna give this a go, as I love a sparkling clean windscreen! Saves me some £££
I’ve just encountered the same problem on my 2019 225xe. All nozzles stopped working. Don’t have all the tubes and compressed air etc so just decided to disconnect the pipe from the FIRST nozzle (just carefully lease it off with some soft pliers, take a deep breath and blow down the pipe. Took a few goes to see fluid coming out from reservoir filler but also noticed a few lumps of “stuff” too. Checked flow by launching washer whilst pipe still disconnected - seemed OK. Connected pipe back to nozzle and job done (for now at least, will see how it goes). Thanks for this vid, gave me a few clues and the insight to have a go myself 👍👍
Most washer fluids go bad if not used for a few months, sounds like you have shifted it for now, if you have a tyre inflator that would also work Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 sound like true ....i already replaced the washer jets for 1 year back and today it happen again no water come out but wiper working well...im really hope it not washer jets malfunction
Thanks man, your a genius, worked well, I pumped high pressure water down the pipe connected to the washer jet and heard the motor spinning in reverse, that cleared it right up !!! p.s. my BMW 1 series was sitting for 3 years 🤕
Yep 😅 - I disconnected the tube from the jets and tried applying pressure with a bike pump, but couldn't make a good seal, so used my mouth and blew down the thing. I then felt it free up immediately. So glad it was straight forward. Thanks again for the highly useful vid !!@@aaanton11
if have no sound hear from the washer jet it that meant the washer jet is damage or clogged? once when i pull the stick the water is coming out but for 2nd pulled and after that no water coming out and no sound( e90 320d 2011).
aaanton11 I'll try this early morning the washer pump work again with long press the stick but the water coming out too slow and then no sound again from washer pump ...maybe it blocked like u said
Second time I’ve had this problem now. First time I took it to the garage, £70 later 😢 Then it clogged again around 2 months later. On my 2 series you can’t feed anything down the washer bottle pipe as it has a filter on it so looks like the only way is to take the wheel off
@@aaanton11 Doesn't work. Documentation saying that 2 years ago somebody clean and flush this pump. To day I used big syringe like in video, no results. I ordered new gray pump £15.99.
