Reflecting on my privilege

- Hi everyone! In light of all of the riots and protests happening across the world, I've been reflecting a lot over the past couple weeks. I actually disassociated my self from the events happening. I felt rather uncomfortable with myself in thinking it doesn't affect me, I shouldn't worry about it.
However another part of me continued to feel that discomfort with myself. I realized it was because I might not know myself as well as I think I do. I thought a lot about different situations where I have underlying bias that I don't consciously get to think about before I judge. So I decided to make a video talking about this.
I would love to hear if anyone has been feeling the same way!

This is awesome man. I'm loving the insight from a lot of different creators I follow (you included). It really does put our experiences into perspective. Thanks for sharing man.
Thanks Kevin! I think it's important to hear the voices from different people in different places. I think it just takes one piece of content from the right person to help someone else see differently! 🤗
@@KyleCWong For sure. Right now is the best time to be listening and taking in content and educating ourselves.
love this Kyle. I think it isnt easy to realise our privilege. glad you're bringing this issue up!!
Thanks Sharin! Just trying to learn from everything that's happening, I'm glad I took some time to reflect on it.
Thanks for being up this topic, share your experiences and help people build up awareness of equity.
No problem! Thanks for stopping by! :)
It takes a lot to try and understand the perpetrators, but what is funny is that the perpetrators don't try to understand why the victims are protesting.
A lot of people are change averse which makes it difficult for them to keep an open mind unfortunately :(
@@KyleCWong 💯 percent agree with. Without change there's no growth.
Nice content
Hey you removed my comment! What I said was completely reasonable
Elli Jelly I actually didn’t remove it, RUclips sometimes filters out comments, let me check RUclips studio!
Hey Elli, sorry! Can you try reposting the comment? I don't see anything in RUclips studio.
@@KyleCWong oh my bad, I thought you had deleted it for some reason, I thought it was quite strange too considering I wrote something quite normal haha. I can't remember exactly what I wrote but I'll try to get back to you later on it
