Thing is..looking at Truss yesterday the parts where Nerine is going "where am I?, what am I doing here?, oh look at all those people come to see me" is closer to the truth than she thinks...Truss really dis look as if the reason she was late was she'd been hoovering up the last of the presents Gove gave her....

Sadly, I suspect Nigel Farage and Liz Truss have simply swapped places, he's going to be stuck in Parliament undermining the Tories while she's probably off to America, the land of "make the pie higher," to lend the Trump campaign a veneer of english snobbery. Or thankfully, if you can't get enough of Liv. It's truly been a miracle just how much material she's given Nerine over the years, even after resigning.

There was definitely not this much internal monologue going on in her head. If you watch her it looks like she was switched off and just left to stand there. It was honestly the highlight of the night. We will be talking about this moment for decades to come.

I feel a little sad, the way I feel when I think about the lettuce that beat her. It did so well for so long and I can't bear to think that it is no longer with us. Now I worry that Nerine Skinner is going to go the way of the girl you loved but were too young and dumb to tie down, or she was too smart to let you. Now I feel I can just hope that Liz gets elected to the European parliament, oh damn, why did she support Brexit? Maybe there is some charity she can screw up to give Narine some material?

Anyone with the slightest degree of self awareness would have faded into obscurity after such a disastrous stint as PM.
