Kwasi shouldn't have any authority to speak on political matters on TV after that disastrous budget that he and Liz Truss put into the country. The country was on its knees after the pandemic but somehow they made it even worse which seemed virtually impossible to do. I'm glad Liz faced some sort of punishment on her disastrous time when she was PM.

Liz Truss loosing her seat wasn't a shock that was obvious that was potentially going to happen. The biggest shock was Jonathan Ashworth loosing his seat.

The Independent standing there, James Bagge was a long time local Tory activist, who stood against Truss because he was so fed up with her and took more than 6000 votes from her.
It was inevitable for Elizabeth Truss, to loose the constituency.
Since she lost her Premiership, Truss has shown no regret or remorse whatever for her calamitous tenure in office, so it comes as no surprise that she would have neither the courage nor the grace to give a concession speech, choosing instead to limp offstage into the wilderness with the same bewildered expression we have all become so familiar with. She will no doubt re-emerge in a few months time, ready to blame anyone and everyone but herself.
