Most people only visit the Salem Gallow's memorial and don't get to visit Proctor's Ledge itself. So lets give it a look here in Salem Salem MA Gallows Hill Proctor's Ledge
The memorial is beautiful and really makes a statement. It's too bad that there is such residential development around Proctor's Ledge, tho. I can't imagine wanting to live in a house 100 ft away from such a notorious spot. Not even just the creepy factor, either. But the amounts of visitors would be insane. Thanks for the cool video. I enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks Krystal. Yeah I can see it being hectic living too close to it. But I know people who live next to it and they say they are used to it and don't mind as long as people don't go on their property. I live close to the spot and it gets busy starting now until Halloween. Beautiful spot with dark history.
The ledge is in the video here actually. It looked alot different back in the day it all happened. I explain how to get to it from the memorial. It is kind of hidden.
Rebecca Nurse is my 9th Great Grandmother, thank you for showing this
Wow!! I'm sure you have stories passed down from family about it. Thank you for the comment.
Big like 👍 thanks for sharing new subscribers here from Cornwall UK.

I have pictures from there that I took in October.
I wonder if the exact tree(s) they used are still there.
It is a possibility. But would be impossible to be sure as of right now as records dont describe a specific tree. Would be amazing though.
Can you describe the location of the actual ledge from the memorial please? Thanks!!

Since it's like hill do you walk up the street & go around to get to the hanging location?
