It can certainly be brand snobbery in some cases. For my part, I can't handle the Enyaq's exterior. Therefore it became an ID.4 which I have now driven problem-free for 3 years. Came from a Superb.

Ive had my 60 for nearly two years and is a very solid, practical, lovely to drive car.
It costs me less than 2p a mile in day to day driving and on long trips ive not had any issues with public rapid charging.
I want an 85 for a bit more power not that I find the 60 slow, there is a lot of torque.
Thr new Edition models actually come with some good kit. Back in 2022 everything was an option.
I really like the 20" wheels and ride quality feels alright to me. Tyres are expensive though, i don't pay for my tyres as they're on l the lease but a full set is around £850.
I have a heat pump and agree it's pointless and wish I'd gone for Matrix lights instead as the standard REAR lights are crap without that option.

I really like the attention to detain in the rear. Most automakers partially or totally ignore any level of attention or apportion much of if any amount of comfort or convenience to it. I like the way the rear vents and HVAC controls are angled upwards and not horizontally so you have to bend over to see the numbers.
The rear seats also have long thigh cushion which is a godsend especially if you're tall. The only negative I see is the soft fabric backs on the front seats. That makes them very susceptible to punctures and tears when installing car seats for kids that kick the front seat.

I’ve been driving a Skoda Enyaq 80 with heat pump for 1 years 1/2 now. The car is delicious to drive, silent, smooth but very powerful, safe. The range was good when I got it, 522 kms max (but merely 300 kms on motorway, the car is heavy). Unfortunately, for a reason I ignore (or because of the ME3 update last summer), the range is now 320 in winter and 380 to 400 in the summer, just enough to do a 250 kms trip on motorway. The result, I’m using the car for commuting only but I blame Skoda only for less than half of it, the other half is the absolute lack of public chargers in the center of Spain.
All in all, I’ve made 7,000 kms in 14 months when I normally do 25,000 kms per year. I also could not go on long weekends at the northern beaches (Asturias) last summer and had to stay in Madrid (39 degrees C daily) because of the range and no chargers.
Think well before getting an EV if you are not German or Dutch. Even the Enyaq.

The entire point of the Enyaq vs Enyaq Coupe is that there is a lot of room when you fill it to the roof. In the Enyaq you can fit a large dog in a cage and some luggage. In the vast army of coupe EVs the dog would hit it's head on the ceiling.

The Enyaq is a lovely car and drives nice, but the real world range is what puts me off it, and all other EVs for now. I just don't understand how car makers all get away with grossly overstated ranges - everyone knows they're nonsense and the people who invented the test must know it's nonsense, yet they over-promise anyway. Needs to be sorted out - all EVs sold here should have a separate range figure for an 'at the speed limit and fully loaded drive from London to Birmingham in the winter' total! Even the pro-EV experts can't get anywhere close to the claimed range from a Tesla in the real world when trying really, really hard.

And I really must take issue with this review....4 wheel drive adding £4000 to the cost isn't excessive if you consider the fact that the new power upgrade will then be able to be used fully and smoothly where conditions allow. Also just the fact that in wintry weather this large car will be much more sure footed with 4 wheel drive ....no way would I pay all that cash for the 2 wheel drive version with nearly 300hp......or over 300hp for the VRS.
